Obituary for Dorothy Jane Rutledge

Dorothy Jane Rutledge, age 86, of Petersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on July 1, 1933 to the late William Henry and Annie Lou Whitsett Warren. Mrs. Rutledge worked for Serbin and Jonathan Logan and was a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rutledge was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Rutledge and two brothers: Charles Warren and Tommy Warren.

Mrs. Rutledge is survived by one sister: Emily Rogers of Petersburg, TN; two sisters-in-law: Carol Rutledge Bell of Flintville, TN and Linda Warren of Petersburg, TN; one brother-in-law: Joe (Wanda) Rutledge of Flintville, TN; special great niece: Keelie Lonning and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Petersburg First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Dunivan and Rev. Billy Taylor officiating and Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Petersburg First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
