Mrs. Sharon Keller Barnes

December 3, 1943  -  January 3, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon Keller Barnes, age 64, of Chapmansboro, TN, who passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the Alive Hospice at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, TN, will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bill Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Ollie & Annie Mae Farmer Keller. She was a seamstress and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her husband: Robert Barnes of Chapmansboro, TN; 1 daughter: Kelly Morgan of Bellville, IL; 2 sons: Brad Barnes of Chapmansboro, TN, Edward Caldwell of  Elora, TN; mother: Annie Mae Keller; sisters: Linda Black of Mobile, AL, Nancy Walker of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Lorrey Dale Keller of Flintville, TN; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Geneva Higgins Marshall

March 24, 1924  -  January 4, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Higgins Marshall, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday, January 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her late husband: Hazy Rawls Marshall. Mrs. Marshall was a native of Hardin Co., TN, daughter of the late T.C. & Caroline Estelee Carson Higgins, a retired nurse tech for the Lincoln County Hospital and a member of the Coldwater Methodist Church. Along with her husband, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by a daughter:  Ann Marshall in 1993.She is survived by 1 daughter: Pamela Gay Marshall Beech & husband: Billy of Fayetteville, TN; 2 grandchildren: Casey Beech Davis & husband: Andy of Elora, TN, Haley Beech Blackwell & husband: Aaron of Moundville, AL and 1 great grandchild: Ben Davis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coldwater Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jimmie D. Wilbanks

October 15, 1938  -  January 5, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie D. Wilbanks, age 69, of Elora, TN, who passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her residence, will be conducted Monday, January 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Prince Cemetery in Hytop, AL. Mrs. Wilbanks was a native of Estill Fork, AL in Jackson County, daughter of the late William Harvey & Lucy Susan Robertson Bailey. She was a LPN and a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus at Flintville. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons:  Bernard Wayne Collins, Jr., Jimmy Lloyd Collins, 2 brothers:  Ralph & Thomas Bailey and 3 sisters:  LInda Bredemeier, Imogene Wilson and Evelyn Gifford. Survivors include 1 daughter:  Vikki Carolyn Mason of Guntersville, AL; 3 sons:  Dwayne Steven Collins of Mulberry, TN, Butch Jeffrey Collins of Elora, TN, Mickey Lee Collins of Newman, GA; 3 brothers:  Wayne Bailey of Murfreesboro, TN, Rickey Bailey of Taft, TN, Terry Bailey of Kelso, TN; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Frances Brannon Pope

August 23, 1938  -  January 10, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Brannon Pope, age 69, of Limestone Road, Elora, TN; who passed away at her residence will be conducted  Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. W.D. Brewer officating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove ( New Church ) Cemetery in Plevna, AL. Mrs. Pope was a native of Jackson County, AL the daughter of the late Luther & Susie Pauline Houston Brannon. She was a Restaurant Cook & a member of the Elora Pentecostal Church. She is survived by her husband: Jim Pope of Elora, TN; 1 daughter: Sherry Hopper of Huntsville, AL; 2 step-daughters: Tina Allen of Knoxville, TN & Ginger May of Collegedale, TN; 2 sisters: Annise Arnold & Carolyn Smallwood both of Elora, TN; 4 brothers: John Robert Brannon of Estill Springs, TN, Charles Brannon of Flintville, TN, Jimmy Brannon of Elora, TN, & Ronnie Brannon of Kelso, TN; 4 step-grandchildren & 5 step-great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, January 11, 2008 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.   

Mrs. Pearlie M. Goodrich

March 20, 1929  -  January 11, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Pearlie Mae Goodrich, age 78, of Fayetteville, TN who passed away Friday, January 11, 2008 in the Lincoln Skill Care Center will be conducted Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. John E. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.  Mrs.Goodrich was the daughter of the late Hugh William & Gertrude Bowers Hedgespeth. She was a teachers aide at Ralph Askins Elementary & a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Goodrich and her son: Larry Henderson. Mrs. Goodrich is survived by a daughter: Linda Henderson of Fayetteville, TN; 1 granddaughter:  Theresa Bonner of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sisters: Kate Ruth Mastin, Betty Jane Hedgespeth, Rosie Henderson all of Fayetteville, TN & Dorothy Singleton of  Peekskill, NY; 2 brothers: William & Bobby Hedgespeth both of Fayetteville, TN; a brother-in-law: Pleas Goodrich; a sister-in-law: Maudie Pullen; devoted friends: Essie Reese, Betty Marie Crutcher, Felix Bonner, & Samantha Burnett; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Please bring a covered dish to feed the family at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Willa Jo Counts Patterson

September 18, 1928  -  January 12, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Willa Jo Counts Patterson, age 79, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Lincoln Skill Care Center, will be conducted graveside, Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in Flintville Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Patterson was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Horace & Mamie Copeland Counts. She was a bookkeeper for Martys Electrical Service. Survivors include 2 sisters: Vicky Taylor & husband: Ed of Fayetteville, TN, Nancy Mitchell & husband: Melvin of Flintville, TN; nieces & nephews: Dina Mitchell Brown & husband: Jim, Wanda Mitchell Barnes & husband: Phil, Judy Mitchell Barnett &husband: Rick, Kathy Ward & husband: Earl, Kenny Taylor & wife: Pat, Kerry Taylor & wife: Lisa, Karen Jo Stefo & husband: Tom, & Keith Taylor; numerous great nieces and nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. Mr. James Clarence Witten

                 Memorial services for Mr. James Clarence Witten, age 64, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Mr. Witten was a native of Sitka, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank Howard & Erma Irene Williams Witten. He was a retired Tool & Die Maker, a Navy Veteran of Vietnam War and a Baptist. Mr. Witten loved bowling, singing, and playing the guitar. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: John Witten. He is survived by a daughter: Rhonda Swanson of Lake Alfred, FL; 2 sons: Jason Witten of Lima, Ohio; & James E. Witten of Orlando, FL; a brother: Frank Witten of Marion, Ohio; a special friend & companion: Agnes Miles; 2 special daughters: Alberta Groce & Frankie Harlin both of Fayetteville, TN; 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great grandchildren;  several aunts & uncles. The Gallant Funeral Home is assisting the family. 

Mrs. Daisy Mae Smith

                  Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Mae Smith, age 95, of  Fayetteville, TN who passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the Donalson Care Center will be conducted on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Blanche Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was a native of Lincoln Co, TN she was the daughter of the late Jerry & Martha Ann Spray Mullins. She was a seamstress for General Motors and of the Baptist faith. She loved crocheting & sewing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard Smith of 1961; a son: Larry A. Smith & 3 grandchildren. She is survived by 3 nieces: Peggy Smith, Linda Good, & Delphine Williams all of Fayetteville, TN; a great-niece: Rita Dyer of Fayetteville, TN; & other nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 21, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.   

Mrs. Evelyn Nix

June 1, 1927  -  January 22, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Nix, age 80, of Belvidere, TN, who passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Lynchburg Nursing Home, will be conducted Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Mrs. Nix was a native of Franklin Co., TN, daughter of the late Marion & Mamie Jean Bennett. She was a housewife and a member of the Smithland Community Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Luke Carlton Nix in 1994. Survivors include 2 daughters: Fay Throneberry of Belvidere, TN, Gloria Ann Capshaw of Christiana, TN; 3 sons: Gary Wayne Nix of Flintville, TN, Gilbert Nix of Mulberry, TN, Guy Lee Nix of Elora, TN; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elizabeth H. Key

July 11, 1938  -  January 28, 2008

               Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth H. Key, age 69, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN, will be conducted Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 7:00p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Mrs. Key was a native of Philadelphia, PA, and a housewife. Survivors include her husband: Oscar M. Key, Jr. of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter: Dora Harrigan of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons: Oscar M. Key, III, Donald Key both of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sisters: Emily Smith of Boyerstown, PA, Anna Marie Hartung of Philadelphia, PA; 2 brothers: Albert Hartung of Oak Valley, New Jersey, Theodore Hartung of Fredricksburg, VA; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Royce Daniel

               Funeral services for Mr. Royce Daniel, age 86, of Huntsville, AL, who passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at his residence, will be conducted Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Dub McCain officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Mr. Daniel was a native of Elora, TN, son of the late Lindsey Lee & Rosemma Winsett Daniel, an accountant for the Redstone Arsenal, a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Christ Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Janice Hopkins & Yvonne Caldwell. Survivors include his wife: Valentina Daniel of Huntsville, AL; 1 son: Walter L.
