Mrs. Alda M. Stubblefield

November 07, 1905 -  April 04, 2008

                Funeral services for  Mrs. Alda Markham Stubblefield, age 102, of Nashville, TN formerly of Fayetteville, TN; who passed away Friday, April 04, 2008 in Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville will be conducted on Monday, April 07, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Stubblefield was a native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John W. & Inez Baxter Markham. She was employed by South Central Bell until her retirement and was married to the late Jessie Stubblefield who passed away in 1995. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Stubblefield  is survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces, great-nephews. Visitation with the family will be Monday, April 07, 2008 from 12 noon until time of the service at the Gallant Funeral Home. 

Mr. Eldis "June Bug" Ray, Jr.

                 Funeral services for Mr. Eldis "June Bug" Ray, Jr., age 72, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, April 08, 2008 at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN, will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Ray was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Eldis Ray, Sr. & the late Grace Ervin Ray. After leaving construction work with CFW, he began his own business in 1996, Ray's Bar-B-Q on Front Street. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Rosalee Kimbrough; devoted aunt: Ozelle Haston. Survivors include 6 daughters: Connie Graham of Chicago, IL, Wanda McDonald, Deborah Haston, Latesha Ray, Latasha Thomison, Jessica Thomison all of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons:  Lavena Ray of Chicago, IL, Jason Ray of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sisters:  Susie Taylor, Patricia Harper both of Fayetteville, TN;   devoted uncle:  Ardell Haston of Fayetteville, TN; devoted, beloved friend that stood by him through thick and thin:  Mary Jo Thomison of Fayetteville, TN; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mary Batson

August 19, 1919  -  April 10, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Batson, age 88, of Shelbyville, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Glen Oaks Convalescent Home in Shelbyville, TN, will be conducted Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mrs. Batson was a native of Rutherford Co., TN, daughter of the late Joseph & Lizzie Brown Bell and she worked for Amana. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Clarence Batson. Survivors include 2 daughters:  Mary Mattson of Fayetteville, TN, Kathy Brazier of Wartrace, TN; 1 son:  Joseph Robert Batson of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 2 sisters:  Elizabeth Bell of Shelbyville, TN, Nan Adams of Madison, TN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Bazz W. March

November 01, 1938  -  April 15, 2008

             Funeral services for Mr. Bazz W. March, age 69, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his residence, will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mayberry Street Church of Christ with Bro. William Coffee officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. March was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Lonnie & Orthea Knott March. He was a brick mason and a member of the Mayberry Street Church of Christ. Along with his parents, Mr. March was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Nannie Sue Ashby and 4 brothers: Darnell, Lonnie, Willie Gene & Thomas March. Survivors include his wife:  Carolyn March of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter:  Tammy March and special friend: Tim Hicks of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sons:  Lonnie March & special friend: Mickey Myers of Fayetteville, TN, Terry March & wife: Vicki of Fayetteville, TN, Anthony March & wife: Holly of Elora, TN; 5 grandchildren: Latia March, Zaynon March, Xayvion Hicks, Zachery March, Aiden Hicks; 1 sister:  Shirley Pitts of Louisville, KY and 2 brothers: Robert March of Washington, DC, and David March of Fayetteville, TN. Mr. Roy Cline

March 6, 1925  -  April 16, 2008

                 Memorial services for Mr. Roy O. Cline, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at his residence, will be conducted Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Ward & Rev. Allen Black officiating. Mr. Cline was a native of Valdosta, GA, son of the late Virgil A. & Clara Ruth Cline. He attended the University of North Carolina and Emory University in Atlanta, GA. he was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Naval Air Force. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, member of the Elk's Lodge, member of the Lincoln County Horseman's Association, member of the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and March of Dimes. He worked with the boy Scouts of America. For many years, a director at the Lincoln County Bank, former Allstate Insurance Agent, developed the South-Crest subdivision through the Cline-Walker Construction Co., formerly had the Studebaker Auto Dealership and for 42 years owned & operated the Roy Cline Motors Chrysler-dodge Auto Dealership. He was an active horseman, raising Tennessee Walking Horses, showing and riding in many events and shows. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years: Mildred Locke Cline; 1 son:  Roy Andrew 'Andy' Cline; 3 grandchildren:  Cristy Cline McLemore & husband: Jon, Roy Andrew 'Drew' Cline & wife: Elizabeth, Sarah Cline Stocstill & husband: Jeremy; 3 great grandchildren:  Nathan 7 Wyatt Cline and Andi Marie Stockstill; 2 sisters:  Naomi Thompson of Shelbyville, TN & Mickie Floyd of Murfreesboro, TN; 1 brother:  Virgil A. Cline of Tullahoma, TN and 14 nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Ms. Donna L. Metcalf

December 28, 1959 - April 18, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Donna L. Metcalf, age 48, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Lincoln Medical Center, as the result of an automobile accident, will be conducted Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Petersburg, TN with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Metcalf was a native of Marshall Co., TN, daughter of Edward Lee & Linda Faye Sharp Cozart, and a housewife. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Brandy Hooten; 1 son:  Steven Cozart and 1 brother:  Thomas Cozart. Survivors include her husband:  Don Metcalf of Petersburg, TN; 1 daughter:  Lynn Longshore & husband: Danny of Lewisburg, TN; 3 sons: Cliff Metcalf & wife: Tiffanie, Daniel Metcalf & wife:  Jennifer all of Wartrace, TN, Joseph Metcalf & fiancé:  Brandi Smith of Petersburg, TN; parents:  Edward Lee & Linda Faye Sharp Cozart of Cornersville, TN; 3 sisters:  Sharon Tyree & husband: Dwight of Lewisburg, TN, Sandy Graham & husband: Brad, and Tina Longshore both of Cornersville, TN; Charles ‘Bubba’ Cozart & wife: Kim of Lewisburg, TN, Michael Cozart of Cornersville, TN, Eddie Cozart of Lewisburg, TN and 8 grandchildren. Mr. Larry Belado

February 7, 1957  -  April 21, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mr. Larry Belado, age 51, of Huntsville, AL, who passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, at his residence, will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Father Jose Kariamadam officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Belado was a native of West Point, NY, son of Josephine Holder Belado and the late Louis Henry Belado, Jr. He was a retail jewelry salesman, an Air Force veteran and a member of the Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother: Josephine Belado of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister:  Pamela Darlene Belado of Smyrna, TN; 1 brother:  Chris Belado & wife: Sheila of Fayetteville, TN; 2 nephews:  Daniel Ian Belado of Gathersburg, MD, Joseph Antonio Belado of Smyrna, TN and several aunts and uncles. Mr. T.B. York

August 29, 1920  -  April 22, 2008

                 Funeral services for Mr. T.B. York, age 87, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bevills Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Benny Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Bevills Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. York was son of the late Andrew & Lula Winkles York, a farmer and a member of the Bevills Chapel Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. Along with his parents, Mr. York was preceded in death by his wives:  Pauline Land York & Virginia Mablene Norris York and a son: Gerry Wayne York. Survivors include 1 daughter:  Sherrie York of Hazel Green, AL; 1 son:  James & Dianne York of Hazel Green, AL; grandchildren:  James Terry & Andrea York of Fayetteville, TN, Zachary Wayne & Pam York of Hazel Green, AL, Lisa Coe & Sam Espy of Cocoa Beach, FL; great grandchildren:  Gerry Wayne York, Kaitlyn Lea York, William Andrew York and James Matthew York. Mr. John W. Cowan

                 Funeral services for Mr. J. Wilson Cowan, age 78, of Bellview Road, Taft, TN; who passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 in the Lincoln Skill Care will be conducted on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 @ 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev.  Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery. Mr. Cowan was a native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late John W. & Luzette Smith Cowan. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife: Jessie Sisk Cowan of Taft, TN; a son: Johnny Cowan & wife: Bonnie of Taft, TN; 3 grandchildren: John Paul Cowan of Nashville, TN, Matthew Cowan and Angela Cowan both of Taft, TN. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening April 29, 2008 from 5p.m. until 8p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mr. James H. March

                 Funeral services for Mr. James H. March, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN; who passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Wednesday, April 30, 2008 @ 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of  the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Bailey officiating. Mr. March was  a native of Lincoln Co, TN, son of the late Robert Howard & Nellie Sue Vance March. He was a brick layer and a member of the Mary's Chapel AME Church. Along with his parents Mr. March was preceded in death by 1 son: Rickie March. Survivors include 4 daughters: Pam Massey of Fayetteville, TN, Wanda Rowe of Winchester, TN, Linda Edmiston & Farley Edmiston both of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sons: Michael March of Fayetteville, TN,  Tyrone March of Phoenix City, AL, Joe Kenneth March of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sisters: JoAnn March Kibble, Katie Ford, Geneva Taylor, Dorothy Inman; 1 brother: Thomas Whitaker; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mrs. Iva M. Hicks

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Iva M. Hicks, age 62, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Lincoln Skill Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Shelton Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Mrs. Hicks was a native of Madison Co, AL, daughter of the late Wesley William & Nannie Lou Edwards Hill, a press operator for the Lee Company and she was of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by 1 sister: Annie Bell Campbell. Survivors include her husband: Bobby Wayne Hicks of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Lerecca Swinford & husband: Tony of Taft, TN, Lori Hicks of Fayetteville, TN, Christy Painter & husband: Tommy of Fayetteville, TN; 7 grandchildren: Courtney Lindsey, Quinn Lindsey, Destiny Hughes, Dewayna Pogue, Kirsten Painter, Kelsi Painter, Tommy Dale Painter; 1 great-grandchild: Kenlee Parks; 2 sisters: Carolyn Jones of Ardmore, TN, Bertha Camp of Elora, TN; 1 brother: Wilburn Hill of Elora, TN; 4 nieces and 8 nephews. Rev. Albert Beegle

May 27, 1917- April 30, 2008

               Funeral services for Rev. Albert O. Beegle, age 90, of Ardmore, AL, who passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at his residence, will be conducted Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Taft Full Gospel Church with Rev. Harold Boggs and Rev. Glen Floyd officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in New Sharon Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL. Rev. Beegle was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Frank & Mattie Beegle. He was a carpenter and a minister. He was a member of the Taft Full Gospel Church. Along with his parents, Rev. Beegle was preceded in death by 3 sons:  Joe Beegle, Sonny Beegle & Jerry Beegle. Survivors include his wife: Zela Mae Beegle of Ardmore, AL; 2 daughters:  Jane Willard & husband: Jess of Thatch, AL, Sherry Cantrell of Bobo, AL; 2 sons:  Ernie Beegle & wife: Joyce, Rickey Beegle & wife: Mitzi all of Hazel Green, AL; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
