Mrs. Jettye McGehee

September 13, 1926  -  October 02, 2007

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Jettye McGehee, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, October 02, 2007 in the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted on Thursday, October 04, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flintville Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Basham officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McGehee was a native of Cannon County, TN; she was the daughter of the late Shelah Granville & Ethel Mae Osment Good. She was a Technical Librarian with the Aerospace Industry, and a former Telephone Operator; she was a member of the Flintville Baptist Church and a member of the Flintville Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. McGehee is survived by her husband: Claude McGehee of Fayetteville,TN; 3 daughters: Penny Romeo & husband: Jim of Kingsport, TN, Cathy Jennings & husband: George of Fayetteville, TN, Pattie Jo Gilstorf & husband: David of McMinnville, TN; 1 son: Michael McGehee & wife: Lana of Runaway Bay, TX; 1 sister: Judy Jones of Madison, AL; 9 grandchildren, &  5 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening, October 03, 2007 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home; Mrs. McGehee will also lie in state 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. 

Mrs. Daisy M. Kennedy

                  Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy M. Kennedy, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN; who passed away Sunday, October 07, 2007  in the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, will be conducted on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery in New Market, AL. Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Madison County, AL; she was the daughter of the late John W. & Mary Yarbrough Hawkins, she was a housewife &  of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Henry Kennedy. She is survived by 1 son: David Lee Kennedy of Alexander City, AL; 4 brothers: Leroy Hawkins of Boise, Idaho, Clifton Hawkins of New Market, AL, Orville Hawkins of Toney, AL, & Clyde Hawkins of Flintville, TN; special niece: Dorothy Luna of Tullahoma, TN; 3 grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 09, 2007 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.  

Mrs . Vernell G. Stiles

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Vernell G. Stiles, age 87, of Huntland, TN; who passed away Tuesday in the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville will be conducted on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford, Rev. Aaron DeMerchant, & Rev. Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elora Cemetery. Mrs. Stiles was native of  Alabama, the daughter of the late Samuel D. & Lorena Francer Rooks Wright. She was a retired nurse, a member of the Donaldson Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands: John Wesley Hardin & Harvey Stiles; also 1 daughter:  Martha Ann Matson; 1 sister: Velma Shubert; 1 brother: S.J. Wright; 1 granddaughter: Theda Wallace; 1 grandson: Jimmy Nelson; 1 great-granddaughter: Brittany. She is survived by 2 daughters: Nellie Fay Watson of Lewisburg, TN, & Judy Eyvone Keef of Shelbyville, TN; 4 sons:  Robert Earl Hardin of Bryant, AL, Verlon J.W. Hardin of Kopperal, TX, Billy  Ray Hardin of Shelbyville, TN, & Eddie Joe Hardin of Huntland, TN; 1 sister: Burma Richardson of Chattanooga, TN; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, & 6 great-great- grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 5 until 8 p.m. 

Mr.  Edward Stafford

August 10, 1928 - October 10, 2007

                    Funeral services for Mr. Edward Stafford, age 79, of Fayetteville, TN; who passed away at his residence Wednesday, October 10, 2007 will be conducted on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Stinnett officiating with burial in the Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL. Mr. Stafford was a native of Madison County, AL; he was the son of the late Lossie Leo & Mary Jane Gattis Stafford. He was a Dairy Farmer & a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Pearline "Penny" Stafford of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter: Sandee Bethune Stafford  of Granbury, TX; 1 son: Mickey Stafford & wife: Cammie of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sisters: Christine Moyers of Jackson, TN, & Jean Cole of Portsmouth, VA; 1 brother: George Stafford & wife: Jean of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren: Caleb Stafford & wife: Amy, Carla McDonald & husband: Jeff, Jarred Stafford, & Jake Bethune. Visitation with family will be 1 hour prior to the service at Gallant Funeral Home.   

Mr. Hoyt Thompson

May 3, 1929  -  October 11, 2007

            Funeral services for Mr. Hoyt Thompson, age 78, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. J. Richard Barham officiating. Mr. Thompson was a native of Canton, GA, son of the late Henry W. & Emma Deaver Thompson. He was a truck driver for Thompson Trucking in Montgomery and a member of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Jessica Quiett; 3 sisters: Bonnie Cantrell, Nellie Redmon, Ida Wigenton and 3 brothers: William Glenn, James Hayden & LeRoy Thompson. Survivors include 3 daughters: Pamela Thompson of Fayetteville, TN, Penny Sue Reagan of Maryville, TN, Melissa Dasinger of Wetumpka, AL; 1 son: Hoyt Thompson, Jr. of Elgin, TN; 3 step-daughters: Pat Aileen Jones of Ft. Meade, FL, Sandy Endress of Ashland, AL, Cynthia Moore of Montgomery, AL; 2 step-sons: Gary Stanfill of Fayetteville, TN, Jimmy Stanfill of Bristol, VA; 1 sister: Martha Inez Ballis of Akron, OH; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eunice Harbin

                 Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Harbin, age 98, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Gill & Bro.  William Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery with Bro. Herbert Mann officiating. Mrs. Harbin was a native of Madison County, Alabama, daughter of the late William Franklin & Sarah Bradley Mann, a housewife and of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Elbert Richard Harbin, 2 daughters: Dorothy Jean Locker, Thelma Mae Ward; 2 brothers: Robert & Raymond Mann and 3 sisters: Florence Bates, Clara Harbin and Jessie Syler. Survivors include 3 daughters: Ruby Nell Day of Cullman, AL, Carolyn Gail Milner of Chicago, IL, Brenda K. Smith of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Clayton Mann of Flintville, TN; 1 sister Kathleen Jordon of Kokomo, Indiana; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dorothy Harwell

September 7, 1921  -  October 16, 2007

               Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Harwell, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Donald Ramey officiating. She will be buried beside her husband: Robert S. Harwell in Riverview Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Harwell was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Leon & Nina Mae Harrison Robinson, a clerk at Wilson Cleaners for many years and a member of the Northside Church of Christ. Survivors include 1 daughter: Kathie Wiser of Taft, TN; 3 grandchildren: Hope Wiser, Eric Wiser and Greg Wiser; 1 sister-in-law: Jo Robinson of Fayetteville, TN and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Margaret M. Hunter

               Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret M. Hunter, age 85, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mrs. Hunter was a native of Madison Co., AL, daughter of the late Alvis & Elzinia Burnum Mills, a housewife and a member of the Park City Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: John E. Hunter of Flintville, TN; 4 daughters: Brenda Pierce & husband: Dwight of Flintville, TN, Dale Ogle & husband:  Fred of Elora, TN, Nadine Manderson & husband: Terry, Kayleen Sullivan & husband: Robert all of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son: Gary Hunter and wife: Barbara of New Market, AL; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Betty F. Taylor

September 10, 1941  -  October 24, 2007

               Funeral services for Mrs. Betty F. Taylor, age 66, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Friday, October 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Joe George & Bro. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.  Mrs. Taylor was a native of Madison Co., AL, daughter of the late James Matterson & Clara ‘Lela’ Holman Shockley. She was a seamstress for the Lee Company and a member of the Mountain View Holiness Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Franklin Taylor & 1 daughter: Beverly Winsett. Survivors include her son: Dean Taylor of Flintville, TN; 3 grandchildren: Amanda Michelle Haslacker, Arial Nichole Taylor, James Dean Taylor; 3 sisters: Velma Patrick of New Market, AL, Helen George of  Flintville, TN, and Martha McCord of New Market, AL. Mrs. Frances Bradford

January 10, 1917  -  October 24, 2007

               Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Bradford, age 90, of Boaz, AL, formerly of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at the Shepherd’s Cove Hospice at Albertville, AL, will be conducted Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. graveside in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Gay officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bradford was a native of Marshall Co., AL, daughter of the late Joel Franklin & Cludie Pearl Allen Cranford. She was a seamstress for Jonathan Logan and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandson. Survivors include her husband: Lawrence Bradford of Boaz, AL; 2 daughters: Sarah Elaine Head Smith of Boaz, AL, Janet Marie Bradford Amos of Acworth, GA; 2 sisters: Lorea Gilliam of Chattanooga, TN, Ruth Hall of Laconia, NH; 2 brothers: James M. Cranford of Fayetteville, TN, Dairrell Cranford of Chattanooga, TN and special friend: Julie Tarvin. Ms. Rebecca Lea Simmons

January 9, 1971  -  October 25, 2007

                   Funeral services for Ms. Rebecca Lea Simmons, age 36 , of Hazel Green, AL who passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lesile Mason & James Henry and Daisy Simmons. She is survived by her parents: Charles & Inez Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; one sister: Melissa Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; her grandmother: Sue Mason of Hazel Green, AL. some special aunts & uncles: Eddie & Teresa Holland of Locust Grove, GA; Novella Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Lawrence & Jane Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Carl & Sandy Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Randall Mason of Hazel Green, AL; and Eddie Arthur & Joyce Simmons of Taft, TN. She also leaves behind many loving cousins and wonderful loving friends. Rebecca graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1989 and received a degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, AL in 1994. She was an employee of First American Bank and previously worked at Regions Bank for almost 14 years. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Sunday, October 28, 2007 at  the Toney Holiness Church with Bro. Charles Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Memorial Gardens in Meridianville, AL. The Gallant Funeral Home is in charge. Visitation  with the family will be Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 4 until 9 p.m. at the Toney Holiness Church where Rebecca was a member.

               Funeral services for Mrs. Della Anderson, age 87, of Elora, TN, who passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007, at her daughter’s residence in Huntsville, AL, will be conducted Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Champ Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Rufus & Laura Cashion Jennings, and a housewife. She was of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Myrna Faye Anderson; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Survivors include 3 daughters: Barbara Ann Mizell of Huntsville, AL, Linda Milhahn, Peggy Griner both of Fayetteville, TN; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sanchez was a native of Mexico, son of the late Adrian & Ramona Villa Sanchez, and a carpenter.
