Mrs. Jettye McGehee

Funeral services for Mrs. Jettye McGehee, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, October 02, 2007 in the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted on Thursday, October 04, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Flintville Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Basham officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McGehee was a native of Cannon County, TN; she was the daughter of the late Shelah Granville & Ethel Mae Osment Good. She was a Technical Librarian with the Aerospace Industry, and a former Telephone Operator; she was a member of the Flintville Baptist Church and a member of the Flintville Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. McGehee is survived by her husband: Claude McGehee of Fayetteville,TN; 3 daughters: Penny Romeo & husband: Jim of Kingsport, TN, Cathy Jennings & husband: George of Fayetteville, TN, Pattie Jo Gilstorf & husband: David of McMinnville, TN; 1 son: Michael McGehee & wife: Lana of Runaway Bay, TX; 1 sister: Judy Jones of Madison, AL; 9 grandchildren, & 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening, October 03, 2007 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home; Mrs. McGehee will also lie in state 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.

Kennedy, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN; who passed away Sunday, October 07, 2007 in the St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, will be conducted on Wednesday October 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery in New Market, AL. Mrs. Kennedy was a native of Madison County, AL; she was the daughter of the late John W. & Mary Yarbrough Hawkins, she was a housewife & of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband: Joe Henry Kennedy. She is survived by 1 son: David Lee Kennedy of Alexander City, AL; 4 brothers: Leroy Hawkins of Boise, Idaho, Clifton Hawkins of New Market, AL, Orville Hawkins of Toney, AL, & Clyde Hawkins of Flintville, TN; special niece: Dorothy Luna of Tullahoma, TN; 3 grandchildren, & 1 great-grandchild. Billy Langford, Rev. Aaron DeMerchant, & Rev. Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elora Cemetery. Mrs. Stiles was native of Alabama, the daughter of the late Samuel D. & Lorena Francer Rooks Wright. She was a retired nurse, a member of the Donaldson Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands: John Wesley Hardin & Harvey Stiles; also 1 daughter: Martha Ann Matson; 1 sister: Velma Shubert; 1 brother: S.J. Wright; 1 granddaughter: Theda Wallace; 1 grandson: Jimmy Nelson; 1 great-granddaughter: Brittany. She is survived by 2 daughters: Nellie Fay Watson of Lewisburg, TN, & Judy Eyvone Keef of Shelbyville, TN; 4 sons: Robert Earl Hardin of Bryant, AL, Verlon J.W. Hardin of Kopperal, TX, Billy Ray Hardin of Shelbyville, TN, & Eddie Joe Hardin of Huntland, TN; 1 sister: Burma Richardson of Chattanooga, TN; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, & 6 great-great- grandchildren. He was a Dairy Farmer & a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. J. Richard Barham officiating. Mr. Thompson was a native of Canton, GA, son of the late Henry W. & Emma Deaver Thompson. He was a truck driver for Thompson Trucking in Montgomery and a member of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Jessica Quiett; 3 sisters: Bonnie Cantrell, Nellie Redmon, Ida Wigenton and 3 brothers: William Glenn, James Hayden & LeRoy Thompson. Survivors include 3 daughters: Pamela Thompson of Fayetteville, TN, Penny Sue Reagan of Maryville, TN, Melissa Dasinger of Wetumpka, AL; 1 son: Hoyt Thompson, Jr. of Elgin, TN; 3 step-daughters: Pat Aileen Jones of Ft. Funeral services for Ms. Rebecca Lea Simmons, age 36 , of Hazel Green, AL who passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lesile Mason & James Henry and Daisy Simmons. She is survived by her parents: Charles & Inez Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; one sister: Melissa Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; her grandmother: Sue Mason of Hazel Green, AL. some special aunts & uncles: Eddie & Teresa Holland of Locust Grove, GA; Novella Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Lawrence & Jane Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Carl & Sandy Simmons of Hazel Green, AL; Randall Mason of Hazel Green, AL; and Eddie Arthur & Joyce Simmons of Taft, TN. She also leaves behind many loving cousins and wonderful loving friends. Rebecca graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1989 and received a degree in accounting from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, AL in 1994. She was an employee of First American Bank and previously worked at Regions Bank for almost 14 years.
