Mr. Billy Tucker
December 17, 1938 - May 3, 2007
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Tucker, age 68, of Wetumpka, AL, who passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Capitol Hill Nursing Home in Montgomery, AL, will be conducted Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Stewarts Cemetery with Bro. Coe Sawyer officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Tucker was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Wilburn Darnell & Neva Lorene Brooks Tucker, a teacher for the Montgomery Co. School District, a member of the Church of Christ and retired from the Air Force. Survivors include 3 daughters: Sue Hayes of Wetumpka, AL, Catherine Merchuler of Lodi, CA, Sheryle Tucker of Wetumpka, AL; 4 grandchildren: Heather Lynn James, Michelle Donaldson, Billie Marie Amhead, Chad Hayes; 2 brothers: Clarence Tucker of Nashville, TN, Charles Tucker of Arab, AL and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. John A. Foster, age 78, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at his residence, will be conducted Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Terry Mills & Larry Hames officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Foster was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Golie A. & Genie Bledsoe Foster, a maintenance man for Eaton, a member of the Hickory Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and an avid Ham Radio operator. Survivors include 1 daughter: Mary Elizabeth Luna of Petersburg, TN; 1 son: John Robert Foster of Petersburg, TN; 1 sister: Christine Gates of Honolulu, Hawaii; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Esther Robertson
September 12, 1914 - May 9, 2007
Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Robertson, age 92, of Elora, TN, who passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in McClure Cemetery. Mrs. Robertson was a native of Albertville, AL, daughter of the late Lonnie Merrell & Lillie Mae Coats Camp, a housewife, and a member of the Oakley Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband: John Silas Robertson in 1973. Survivors include 1 sister: Opal Todd of New Market, AL; 1 brother: Wayne Camp of Somerville, AL; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Bill Towry, age 79, of Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Stateline Cemetery with Rev. Vic Vickers officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Towry was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Lev & Mildred Little Towry, a retired communications technician for BellSouth, a member of the Hazel Green United Methodist Church, a member of the BellSouth Pioneers and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Along with his parents, Mr. Towry was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Helen Towry. Survivors include his son: Rex & Charlotte Towry of Huntsville, AL; grandsons: Dustin & Chris; 3 sisters: Nell Layne of New Market, AL, Jimmie Ann Anderson, Jean Sisco both of Hazel Green, AL; 1 brother: Loyce Towry of Hazel Green, AL and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mildred Reese, age 67, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Huntsville Hospital will be conducted Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown's Temple Cemetery. Mrs. Reese was a native of Giles County, TN. the daughter of the late Robert Jackson Reese, SR. and Adna Pullen Reese, she worked for several years at Collins Laundry and Cleaners, she was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by 3 daughters: Dianishie Stewart of Petersburg; Opra Inger Reese of Fayetteville; & Juanita Umeana of Atlanta, GA; 4 sons: Terry Reese, Robert Reese, & John Reese all of Fayetteville, Roy Lee Jennings of Tullahoma, TN; 4 sisters: Bernice & Margie Reese of Fayetteville, Annie Davis & Norma Hall both of Nashville, TN, 2 brothers: Ernest Reese of Lewisburg, TN. and Smiley Reese of Fayetteville, TN; 17 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will Saturday May 19, 2007 from 8 a.m. until time of service at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. John S. Conley, age 86, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at his residence, will be conducted Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Conley was a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia, son of the late John & Mary Craft Conley, a warehouse worker for the Miesel Corp., a member of the Petersburg Baptist Church and a WWII Army veteran. Survivors include 1 daughter: Mary Wojewski of Michigan; 1 son: Ray Conley of Tennessee; 2 sisters: Mary Weekley, Christine Baker both of West Virginia; 2 brothers: Tom Conley of Tennessee, Mark Conley of West Virginia; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. with a Masonic service to follow at 7 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Almer L. Kennedy, age 79, of Elora, TN, who passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Monday, May 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oakley Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state for 1 hour before time of service at Oakley Baptist Church. Mr. Kennedy was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Charley & Lucy Lamb Kennedy, a carpenter and a member of the Oakley Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Kennedy was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Frances David Kennedy and 1 son: Dana Wayne Kennedy. Survivors include 4 daughters: Faye Campbell of Elora, TN, Kathy Smith of Fayetteville, TN, Lisa Holland of Flintville, TN, Sara Keel of Madison, AL; 1 son: Terry Lee Kennedy of Elora, TN; 3 sisters: Annie Bell Mayes of Ryland, AL, Frances Martin of Mayesville, AL, Alice Howard of New Hope, AL; 1 brother: Charles Kennedy of Douglasville, GA; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Bellis, age 85, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007 at Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Friday, May 25, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford and Rev. Ken Basham officiating. Burial will follow in the Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. Bellis was a native of Bakertown, TN, the daughter of Henry Lester Campbell and Lela Vick Campbell, a retired LPN, of the Baptist faith, and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband: Richard E. Bellis; 2 sons: Bryan D. Bellis of Perris, California and Rick Bellis of Tarpon Springs, Florida; 1 daughter: Peggy and husband, Mike Houser of Flintville, TN. 4 grandchildren: Christina Lee Bellis, Andrea K. Bellis, Rickey Bellis, and Pat Scott Bellis; 1 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Locker was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas & Pearl Connley Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack Locker. She is survived by 1 daughter: Kathleen Pamplin of Kelso, TN.; 1 step-son: Larry Locker of Huntsville, AL; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
