Mr. Gene Autry Locke

Funeral services for Mr. Gene Autry Locke, age 60, of Shelbyville, TN, who passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the Vanderbilt Hospital, will be conducted Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Warren officiating. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery. Mr. Locke was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Tommy & Hattie Lee Mullins Locke, was an employee of the City of Shelbyville, a member of the 1st Church of God in Shelbyville. Along with his parents, Mr. Locke was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Patricia Locke and 2 brothers: Leonard Locke & Billy Jewel Locke. Survivors include his wife: Mildred Locke of Shelbyville, TN; 1 daughter: Sharon McCarver of Tullahoma, TN; 1 son: James Gene Locke of Estill Springs, TN; 1 step-son: Don Wayne Thornton of Pulaski, TN; 2 grandchildren: Kayla Bailey & Kelly McCarver; 3 sisters: Kathleen Jones of Shelbyville, TN, Ruth Patterson of Unionville, TN, Frances Dunnavant of Shelbyville, TN; 5 brothers: James R. Locke of Shelbyville, TN, Johnny Locke of Fayetteville, TN, Frank Locke, Edd Locke, and Steve Locke all of Shelbyville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Mrs. Mildred Locke for funeral expenses.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Bradford, age 60, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. graveside in the Flintville Cemetery with Rev. Ken Basham officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bradford was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Mack & Anna Pearson Bradford, a carpenter and a member of the Flintville Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sisters: Annie Lou Simms, Dean & Winfred Honea, Dot & Joe Tom Hudson all of Flintville, TN and 1 brother: Raymond & Martha Bradford of Fayetteville, TN.

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee Taylor, age 63, of Houston, TX, who passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the Spring Branch Memorial Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was a native of Franklin Co., TN, son of the late Dee Wilson & Nettie Frances Caldwell Taylor, a carpenter, an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #0077 in Houston, TX. Survivors include his wife: Joyce Hawkins Taylor; 1 daughter: Barbara Striker; 1 son: Michael Taylor all of Houston, TX; 3 sisters: Mary Sue Young, Margie Crabtree, Virginia Hitt all of Canton, GA; 2 brothers: Gary Taylor of Greenwood, AR, John William Taylor of Canton, GA; 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in Carter Hill Cemetery. Mr. Franklin was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Preston & Zana Lee Cowan Franklin, a farmer and a member of the Coldwater Methodist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter: Kathy Barnett Smith & husband: James of Kelso, TN; 2 sons: Steve Franklin & wife: Brenda of Fayetteville, TN, Mark Andy Franklin of Flintville, TN; 1 sister: Frances Patterson of Elkwood Section, AL; 1 brother: Jimmy Franklin of Taft, TN; 4 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Aaron Towry, age 76, of Fayetteville, TN., who passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at his residence, will be conducted Monday, June 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Elder Wade Towry officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Towry was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, son of the late Emmett and Elizabeth Hunter Towry, he was a barber and was former owner of the Park City Barber Shop, he was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife: Rachel McAfee Towry; 2 sons: Michael Towry of Flintville,TN, & Dwayne Towry of Goose Creek, S.C., 1 step-son: Steve Metcalf of Fayetteville, TN; 2 step-daughters: Pam Wells of Hazel Green, AL. & Darlene Caldwell of Fayetteville,TN; 2 brothers: Wade Towry of Flintville, TN, & Ray Towry of Illinois; 11 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Sonny Moore, Rev. Hubert Smith & Rev. Johnny Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Plevna, AL. Mr. Jones was a native of Franklin Co, TN, the son Imogene Moore Jones Marshall and the late Lawrence Howard Jones. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard; a member of the United Christian Church of Cleveland, TN and an honorary member of the TN Private Investigation Association. Survivors include 3 daughters: Wendy Morris & Jennifer Newton of Fayetteville, TN, Amy Jones of Decherd, TN, 2 sons: Michael W. Jones, JR of Fayetteville, TN, Lawrence Anthony Jones of Decherd, TN; his mother: Imogene Moore Jones Marshall of Winchester, TN; 2 sisters: Cynthia Henderson of Lynchburg, TN, & Denise Coers of Fayetteville, TN. 2 brothers: Leslie & Steve Jones both of Fayetteville, TN. and 10 grandchildren. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Riley was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Monroe & Beulah Riley, a carpenter, an Army veteran and he attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Riley was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Riley and 1 son: Thomas Jerry Riley. Survivors include 1 son: Dwight Riley of Trenton, GA; one sister: Owene Parker of Huntland, TN and 3 grandchildren. Mr. Thornton was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Willie R. & Chaney Mills Thornton, he was a retired Deputy Sheriff serving 25 years with the Lincoln County Sheriff Dept.; he is survived by his son: Chris & wife: Lori Boone Thornton of Fayetteville, TN; a sister: Charlotte Bell of Madison, AL; 2 grandchildren: Austen & Wesley Thornton of Fayetteville, TN; a niece: P. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Cemetery. Ms. Edwards was a native of Zion, Illinois she was the daughter of Elwell & Jessie Kilbreath Robinson, she was a homemaker & a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her husband: Norman Edwards of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Gayle Edwards of Huntsville, Al, Pamela Kerce of Columbia, TN, Vicki Ring of Dothan, AL; 2 sons: Donald Edwards of Caton, Illinois, David Edwards of Antioch, Illinois; 2 sisters: Doris Olsen & Valerie Conn both of Illinois; & 1 brother: Donald Robinson of Illinois. 5 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Ms. Holder was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, she was the daughter of Monroe & Beulah Winsett Hudson, a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by daughters: Linda Marie Warren of Estill Springs, TN, Bobbie Joyce Stewart of Fayetteville, TN, Carolyn Nadine Derickson, of Rosenburg, TX, Janice Vadean Warren of Wheatfield, IN; a son: James Randall Holder of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister: Vera Sowell of Medlothian, IL; 1 brother: Kenneth Hudson of the Lincoln community; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Ms. Stevenson was a native of Franklin Co, TN, she was the daughter of the late Alfred M. & Artie Williams Campbell. Ms. Stevenson was a Cosmetologist and attended the Family Worship Center in Hazel Green, AL. She is survived by her husband: Wade Stevenson of Fayetteville, TN, 2 sons: Tommy & wife: Melissa Stevenson of the Belleville Community, & Ricky & wife: Misty Stevenson of Park City, TN; 1 sister: Ophelia Gostead of Niceville, FL; 4 brothers: Kenneth Campbell of Elora, TN, Lawson Campbell of Fayetteville, GA, Lane Campbell of New Market, AL, Carold Campbell of Athens, AL; 2 grandchildren: Jeremy & Reagan Stevenson. Ms. Bain was a native of Lincoln Co, TN, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel & Lillie Lee Jacobs Mooneyham. She was a machine operator for Jonathan Logan & a member of the Fayetteville ARP Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Mr. Clessie Bain; 1 son: Douglas Bain; 1 grandson: Dwight Fitch; 1 son-in-law: Alvis King; 1 great-great grandson: Brandon Sims. She is survived by 3 daughters: Rachel King of Mobile, AL, Wanda & Jimmy Fitch of Fayetteville, TN, & Carolyn & Teddy Ray of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister: Katie Finn of Fayetteville,TN; 5 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; 27 great-grandchildren; & 6 great- great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Leland Elmer Wells, age 94, of Petersburg, TN will be conducted Friday, June 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Doy Holman & Troy Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Head Springs Cemetery in Belfast, TN. Mr. Wells was a native of Marshall Co, TN, the son of late Neeley & Cora Daisy Adams Wells. He was a 50 year resident of Petersburg, TN; a retired steam fitter at Redstone Arsenal, a veteran of World War II, & a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Mr. Wells was married to Daisy H. Wells for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; & brothers: Thurman, Howard, & Wilburn Wells, a sister: Bertrice W. Huffman. He is survived by his wife: Daisy H. Wells; 1 daughter: Cynthia & husband: Lanny Dunnivan of Petersburg, TN; 1 son: Larry & wife: Beth Rozell of Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Amanda D. Wells, Jason, Brett, & Seth Rozell; 1 great-grandchild: Hannah Wells, 1 step great-grandchild: Rachel Allen; 2 step great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Head was a native of Marshall Co., TN, daughter of the late Jesse Emmet & Maude Elizabeth Whorley Moore, a homemaker and farmer and a member of the Cane Creek Church of Christ. Mr. Pierson was a native of Jackson Co., IL, son of the late Joseph & Maudie Herrin Pierson, worked at the General Motors power plant and was a member of the Flintville 1st Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Pierson was preceded in death by his wife: Sarah Pierson and 2 brothers: Norman & Randall Pierson. Survivors include 1 daughter: Elizabeth McCormick of Flintville, TN; 3 sons: Joe Lee of Jemez, NM, Don Pierson, Jr. of Frankewing, TN, David Pierson of Flintville, TN; 2 sisters: Geraldine Reyman, Dorothy Jane & Glen Bryant all of Murfreesboro, IL; 1 brother: Tross & Evelyn Pierson of Vergennes, IL; 1 sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Pierson of Murfreesboro, IL; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She worked for the Skills Development Center and was a member of the Peoples Church of Shelbyville. Survivors include 1 daughter: Yohnni Lee Entrickin; 1 son: Matthan Fish; father: John Ross and 1 grandchild.
