Mr. Floyd R. Boyett

               Funeral services for Mr. Floyd R. Boyett, age 83, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, January 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer 'Buddy' Alverson officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mr. Boyett was the son of the late Leamer & Iva Eakes Boyett, a laborer, a member of the Church of Christ and a Navy veteran. Along with his parents, Mr. Boyett was preceded in death by 1 son:  Jerry Ray Boyett, step-mother: Bessie Boyett; brother:  Bobby Boyett, sister: Doris Geralds and 4 grandchildren. Survivors include 6 daughters:  Charolett Lindsey of Falkville, AL, Iva Jones of Meridianville, AL, Brenda Meeks of New Hope, AL, Libby & Bill Smith of Flintville, TN, Kay East of Madison, AL, Cathy & D.J. Holder of Huntsville, AL; 1 son:  Floyd 'Milton' Boyett of Fayetteville, TN; 6 sisters:  Ida Pigg of Flintville, TN, Marie Carroll of Valdese, NC, Hilda Metcalf, Faye Jackson both of Lynchburg, TN, Linda Harris of Kelso, TN, Polly Johnson of Shelbyville, TN; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Louise Patterson

               Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Patterson, age 89, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Patterson was a native of Moore Co., TN, daughter of the late William Travis & Fannie Mattie Sullivan Milstead. She was a homemaker and a member of the Stateline Methodist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband:  Eular Patterson; 3 sons:  Chris Patterson, Johnny 'Moe' Patterson, Tim Patterson and 1 daughter:  Brenda Kay Patterson. Survivors include 2 sons:  Jackie Patterson, Mark Patterson both of Fayetteville, TN; 5 daughters:  Rachel Young, Marjorie Wheeler both of Fayetteville, TN, Faye Barnett of Lewisburg, TN, Beverly Sisk & Peggy Patterson both of Flintville, TN; 26 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Margaret M. Murphy

               It is with regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Margaret M. Murphy, age 91, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 13, 2007 from noon until 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will follow at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mrs. Murphy was a native of Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence & Margaret Sara Barry O'Connell. She was a secretary for the U.S. District Court and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She is survived by 1 daughter:  Denise Fahnestock of Fayetteville, TN; 7 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

 

 

Mr. Robert G. Arnold

               Funeral services for Mr. Robert G. Arnold, age 72, of Crete, IL, formerly of Lincoln County, who passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 at the St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, IL, will be conducted Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Plevna, AL with Rev. Henry McPeters officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The body will lie in state 1 hour before time of service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Arnold was a native of Moore Co., TN, son of the late Clarence Odell & Alcie Virginia Syler Arnold, a welder, a member of the Church of Christ and a Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife:  Lois Arnold of Crete, IL; 1 daughter: Brenda & Richard Klein of Woodstock, IL; 3 sons:  David Arnold of California, Bruce & Michelle Arnold of Colorado Springs, CO, Kelvin Arnold of Crete, IL; 4 grandsons:  Joseph, Paul, Richard, Andrew; 1 sister:  Sue & Cleatus Sullivan of Ardmore, TN; 1 brother:  J.W. & Annise Arnold of Elora, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Madge Stafford

               Funeral services for Mrs. Madge Stafford, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday, January 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Hambrick officiating. Mrs. Stafford was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Walter & Noma Land Hambrick, a sales clerk and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her sister:  Ruth & George Merritt of Huntsville, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Millie R. Welch

               Funeral services for Mrs. Millie R. Welch, age 71, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the Marshall Medical Center, will be conducted Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petersburg chapel of the Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Leland Carden & Mr. James Chapman officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mrs. Welch was a native of Bedford Co., TN, daughter of the late A.B. & Bessie Conley Smith, worked for Genesco and the Petersburg Grocery and was a member of the Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by 1 son:  Danny Smith. Survivors include her husband:  Gerald Welch of Petersburg, TN; 2 daughters:  Cheryl Keny, Sylvia Wilburn both of Lewisburg, TN; 3 sons:  Rick Smith of Beach Grove, TN, Jackie Welch, Darshall Welch both of Petersburg, TN; 3 sisters:  Bettie Sawyer, Hilda Smith both of Shelbyville, TN, Faye Johnson of Shelby, MI; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church.

 

 

Mrs. Addie Bea Horton

               Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Bea Horton, age 69, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at her residence, will be conducted Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Epps & Rev. Danny Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Foust officiating at the graveside. Mrs. Horton was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Buford Earl & Vollie Pitts Weir, she was retired from the cafeteria at Flintville School and a member of Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband:  Lee Vaughn Horton of Kelso, TN; 1 daughter:  Karen D. & Chuck D. Barnes; 3 sons:  Michael L. & Sherry Horton, Mark D. & La-Gay Horton, Jeff L. & Sherrie Horton; 9 grandchildren:  Nicholas L. Barnes, Ashley D. Barnes, Whitney M. Horton, Kesha V. Horton, Joshua W. Barnes, Ethan C. Horton, Halie A. Horton, Alexis L. Horton, Dalenna J. Horton; 3 sisters:  June & Bobby Jean, Carol Cash, Lorene & Larry Jones; 4 brothers:  Dexter & Eunice Weir, Joe & Betty Jane Weir, Waylon & Nancy Weir, Gary & Betty Florence Weir and special friend: Mrs. Chris Curtis. Mrs. Mildred Burns

               Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Burns, age 88, of Lynchburg, TN, who passed away Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Lincoln Skilled Care Center, will be conducted Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at noon in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Mrs. Burns was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Charles & Alberta Hudson Rudd, a quality control inspector for the glove manufacturer in Lynchburg, a long time member of the Booneville Methodist Church and active in the Lynchburg Senior Citizens Center. Along with her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her husband:  Willis B. Burns; 2 brothers:  J.C. & Lawson Rudd and 1 sister:  Annie Rudd. Survivors include 1 son:  Bill & Kay Burns of Meridianville, AL; 6 sisters:  Mae Carvitti, Betty Larison, Thelma Robbins all of Middle Town, OH, Ruby Franz of Arlington Heights, IL, Juanita Rudd of Murfreesboro, TN, Evelyn Harris of Fayetteville, TN and 1 brother:  Louis Rudd of Middle Town, OH. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. Buford Jones

               Funeral services for Mr. Buford Jones, age 82, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, January 28,2007 at the Lincoln Skilled Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. W.D. Brewer, Rev. James Holt & Rev. Edward Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Jones was a native of Madison Co., AL, son of the late Flossie Hazelwood Jones, a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of the Vann Town Church of Jesus. Survivors include his wife:  Edna Holder Jones of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son:  Clarence Jones of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter:  Carolyn & Ray Bryant of Fayetteville, TN; 3 brothers:  J.C. Jones of Fayetteville, TN, Junior Jones of Birmingham, AL, Bobby Hazelwood of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister:  Reva Reynolds of Huntsville, AL and 4 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Harvey Edmiston

               Funeral services for Mrs. Harvey Edmiston, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 in the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Brown & Rev. Jody Parks officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Edmiston was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Harvey & Molly Stone, a cook, a member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and she loved to cook for family and friends. Survivors include 2 daughters:  Tina Dangerfield, Shirley Jemison both of Fayetteville, TN; 5 sons:  Steve Edmiston of Huntsville, AL, George Edmiston of Fayetteville, TN, Larry Edmiston of Cleveland, OH, Charles Edmiston of Fayetteville, TN, Gary Edmiston of Ashville, NC; 3 sisters:  Edith Bonner, Margaret Edmiston both of Fayetteville, TN, Mary Stone of Dayton, OH; 3 brothers:  Harold Word of Knoxville, TN, Bobby Word of Huntsville, TN, Bill Word of Fayetteville, TN; 31 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
