Mr. Frank Spencer
Funeral services for Mr. Frank Spencer, age 63, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, April 2, 2007 at his residence, will be conducted Friday, April 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charles George and Rev. Benny Hipps officiating. Burial will follow in Stewarts Cemetery. Mr. Spencer was a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of the late Paul Delmas & Harriet Jackson Spencer, a carpenter and a mill right, a member of the Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church and an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife: Sheri Spencer of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Kammie Sliger of Anamosa, Iowa, Katy Gatlin, Kristin Howell both of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons: Chris Sliger of Mead, CO, Jody Spencer of Columbia, TN; 2 sisters: Sandra Brehm of Shellsburg, Iowa, Sheryl Lynn Spencer of Sommerville, AL and 15 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brenda Gifford
Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Gifford, age 59, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in Huntsville, AL, will be conducted Friday, April 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Britton and Rev. Craig Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. Gifford was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late James P. & Myrtle Louise Johnson Arnold, worked for the Child Nutrition Program at Buckhorn High School, was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and a member of the Heartfelt Gospel Music Association. Along with her parents, Mrs. Gifford was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Wanda Pitcock and Barbara Arnold. Survivors include her husband: Joe L. Gifford of Flintville, TN; granddaughter: Amber & Jimbo Mitchell; great grandson: Asa Mitchell; 4 sisters: Gaynell Carter of Petersburg, TN, Virginia Lamb of Fayetteville, TN, Jeanette Dickerson of West Virginia, Carol Phillips of Fayetteville, TN; 2 brothers: Teddy Arnold of Flintville, TN, Houston Arnold of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jennifer L. Taylor
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennifer L. Taylor, age 34, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of Roy Glenn Taylor and Kathy Armstrong. She worked in computer drafting and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother: Kathy Armstrong of New Market, AL; father: Roy Glenn Taylor of Kelso, TN; step-father: Donnie Fitch of Fayetteville, TN; friend: Mike Jones of Fayetteville, TN; 3 half-sisters: Heather Michelle Britton of Fayetteville, TN, Stacy Michelle Lloyd of Fayetteville, NC, Kendra Lynn Taylor of Fayetteville, TN; 1 step-sister: Brandy Nichole Fitch of Fayetteville, TN; 1 half-brother: Jeremy Taylor of Fayetteville, TN; 2 step-brothers: Ross Hoffman, Donald Bradlen Fitch both of Fayetteville, TN; grandmother: Ramona Gleghorn of Huntsville, AL; grandparents: James R. & Faye Taylor of Fayetteville, TN; 4 aunts: Nancy Haas of Winchester, TN, Annette Scott of Fayetteville, TN, Carmen Rundle of Comer, GA, Karen Armstrong of Texas and 2 uncles: Keith Armstrong & Paul Armstrong both of Fayetteville, TN. Mrs. Esther Stewman
Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Stewman, age 90, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007 at her residence, will be conducted Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hope Assembly of God with Pastor Shane Warren officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Stewman was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late George Britton Tucker and the late Lona Sullenger Tucker. She was a beauty operator and a member of the Hope Assembly of God. Survivors include 1 sister: Ernestine Apple of Gallatin, TN; 2 nieces: Karen Apple of Huntsville, AL, Kimberly Apple of Gallatin, TN; 5 nephews: Gary Apple of Clearwater, FL, Kevin Apple of Miami, FL, Bobby Vann of Manchester, TN, Harland Smith of Fayetteville, TN and Ronnie Tucker of Chattanooga, TN. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. J. C. Jackson
Funeral services for Mr. J.C. Jackson, age 76, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday, April 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Hill Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was a native of Franklin Co, TN, son of the late Ed & Bessie Morris Jackson, a salesman for Cochrene Compressor Co., and a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Betty Gipson, Peggy Kelley; 3 brothers: Ed Jackson, Jr., Billy Jackson, and Bobby Jackson. Survivors include his wife: Frances Patterson Jackson of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Lori Graham of Fayetteville, TN, Debbie Berry of Ohio, Diane VandenBerg of Cary, IL; 1 son: Jimmy Jackson of Chicago, IL; 3 sisters: Margaret Rayfield, Willie King both of Cowan, TN, Ruthie Martin of Winchester, TN; 2 brothers: Jack Jackson of Wilmington, DE, Tommy Jackson of Winchester, TN; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Mary Medley Amos
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Medley Amos, age 85, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Dean West officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Amos was a native of Giles Co., TN, daughter of the late Sam & Florence Haley Maynard, a homemaker and a member of the Howell Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: Charles Amos of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Martha Whitt of Fayetteville, TN, Rachel Welch of Lewisburg, TN, Jean Eslinger of Carriere, MS; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. Robert Blenderman
It is with regret that we announce the death of Mr. Robert Blenderman, age 57, of Mulberry, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at his residence. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. There will be a service planned at a later time. Mr. Blenderman was a native of Queens, NY, son of Wilma Vann Blenderman and the late Edward Lawrence Blenderman. He was a truck driver, a member of the Cherokee Tribe of NE Alabama, a retired New York City Police Officer and a National Guard veteran. Along with his mother, survivors include 2 sisters: JoAnne Blenderman of Fayetteville, TN, Gladys Kuziw of North Carolina; 2 brothers: William Blenderman of Fayetteville, TN, Edward Blenderman of Florida; 3 nephews: Joseph Blenderman, William & Janice Adgeo and Matthew Blenderman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for the service at Gallant Funeral Home, 508 W. College St., Fayetteville, TN 37334.
Mr. Mickey Rayburn Aldridge
Funeral services for Mr. Mickey Rayburn Aldridge, age 62, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Monday April 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Mr. Aldridge was a native of Madison Co., AL, the son of Malcolm Rayburn & Gloria J. Horne Aldridge, a sheet metal fabricator, he worked for several years at Amana Refrigeration and was self-employed in the Air Conditioning Industry and was a member of Pleroma Church in Tullahoma, TN. Survivors include his wife: Hilda Jane Hale of Fayetteville, TN., 3 daughters: Cathy & husband Stephen Gulley of Fayetteville,TN, Melinda & husband Keith Pogue of Petersburg, TN. and Mary Jane & husband: Jody Quick of Flintville, TN.; 2 sons: Jonathan Aldridge of Fayetteville, TN. & Michael & wife Cynthia Aldridge of Petersburg, TN. and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father: Rev. Fred Thomas Gray and a brother: Gary Aldridge. Visitation with the family will be Sunday April 22, 2007 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Georgia 'Chris' Curtis
Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia 'Chris' Curtis, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Merritt Island, FL, will be conducted Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Hipps officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery beside her late husband: Carl Curtis. Mrs. Curtis was a native of Sikeston, MO, daughter of the late Gurley Edward & Hassie Adel Webster Price, worked for the Chrysler Corporation and was a member of the Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 daughter: Tina Marie Davis of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sons: Richard Wayne Curtis, Sr. of Madison, AL, Michael Carl Curtis of Milan, MI, Kenneth J. Hughes of Merritt Island, FL, Charles Robert Hughes of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sisters: Faye Clemmons of Chattanooga, TN, Jean Sanders of Lewisburg, TN, Ruth Pearson of Tuano, VA, Glenda Kirk of Britton, MI; 1 brother: Edward Price of Florence, AL; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Miles, age 56, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Marshall Co., TN, will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Mr. Miles was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late James Clark & Thelma Elizabeth Thompson Miles, a security guard for ICP in Lewisburg, TN, and a member of the Brown Teal Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 daughter: Sonya LaCarol & Leo Walden of Flintville, TN, Tonya Renee & Barry May of Fayetteville, TN; 5 grandchildren: William, Andrew, Alyssa, Summer, Winter, Kaycee; 4 great grandchildren: Olivia, Autumn, McKenzie, and Daylon. Mrs. Gladys Pool
Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Pool, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Monteagle Care & Rehab Center, will be conducted Monday, April 23, 2007 at 12 noon in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Ronnie Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mrs. Pool was a native of Moore Co., TN, daughter of the late Joh & Molly Ashby, a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Mrs. Pool was preceded in death by her husband: Willie N. Pool and 1 son: Willie Neal Pool. Survivors include 2 sons: Earl V. Pool of Fayetteville, TN, Thomas Wayne Pool of Valdosta, GA; 1 daughter: Jewel Sloan of Florence, AL; 1 brother: W.B. Ashby of Lewisburg, TN; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
