Mr. Donald Wayne Porter,SR
Funeral Service for Mr. Donald Wayne Porter, Sr., age 63, of Lynnville, TN. who passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Maury Regional Hospital, will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Shields and Bro. Pete Crim officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Porter was a native of Lincoln Co., son of Nellie Scanlen and the late Fred Levi Porter, an Army veteran, a member of the VFW and Brown Teal Baptist Church where he was an Associate Pastor and Deacon. He was a former deputy sheriff in Marshall County and former employee of Cosmolab. Survivors include his wife: Patricia Gayle Porter of Lynnville, TN; daughter: Elizabeth Carolyn Patterson of Pulaski,TN; son: Donald Wayne Porter, Jr. of Pulaski, TN; grandchildren: Matthew Wayne Patterson, Lauren Elizabeth Porter, Rebecca Caytlin Porter, Rylee Morgan Patterson, Pride Patterson & Lucas Cain Patterson; mother: Nellie Scanlen of Fayetteville; sister: Sandra Kay Durham of Fayetteville, TN and brother: Fred Levi Porter, Jr. of King City, CA. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brown Teal Baptist Church in memory of Donald Wayne Porter, Sr.
Mr. Richard Doughty
Funeral Services for Mr. Richard Doughty, age 59, of Gurley, Alabama who passed away Monday December 17, 2006 in the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Doughty was a native of El Cintro, California, son of Johnnie Doughty Carmichael and the late William "Bill" Doughty. He was a truck driver, a merchant marine and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Survivors include his wife: Deborah Kay Doughty of Gurley, Alabama; daughters: Rhonda Gaskins of Mt. Vernon, Washington, Amber Silva of Tehachapi, California, Levi Doughty of Tehachapi, California; step-son: Jim Morgan of Gurley, Alabama; mother: Johnnie Doughty Carmichael of Moses Lake, Washington, sisters: Leta Carter of Anacortes, Washington, Sandy Cheshire of Utah; brother Bob Doughty of Anacortes, Washington and 10 grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from noon until time of service.
Mr. Bradley Clayton 'Booty' Pigg, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Bradley Clayton 'Booty' Pigg, Jr., age 54, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 at the Maury Regional Hospital, will be conducted Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Pigg was a native of Bedford Co., TN, son of the late Bradley Clayton Pigg, Sr. & the late Christine Marie Moore Pigg. He was a carpenter, an Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include 1 son: Jason Pigg of Cornersville, TN; 2 brothers: Edward C. Pigg of Belfast, TN and James Larry Pigg of Petersburg, TN. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ruby Reid
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Reid, age 92, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Reid was a native of Morgan Co., AL, daughter of the late Ezra & Sarah Dilbeck Edmondson, a seamstress, a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was married to her husband: Winford Reid for 70 years. Survivors include 1 daughter: Joanne Katechis of Huntsville, AL; 2 brothers: Royce Reid of Ft. Worth, Texas, Merwyn Reid of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren: Chris Katechis, Erika Williams, Stacy Kelley, Jesse Reid, Shannon Williams, Kevin Reid and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alice Faye Horine
Alice Faye Lewis Horine entered into God's most precious embrace on December 27, 2006 after a long, courageous battle against lung cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and the prayers of many. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Faye spent the last years of her life working in school cafeterias. First in Swiss, MO, then at Benton Elementary school in St. Charles, MO. Faye often said she did not do this for money, but for the difference she believed she could make in a child's life, a hug or a kiss given during a student's difficult day was rewarded ten-fold by the smiles and hugs she received back and this is what mattered the most. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Paul Arthur Horine, her mother, Mageline & Don Martin of Destin, FL; her sons: Charles Michael & Ellen Lewis of Nashville, TN, Bruce Carlton & Misty Lewis of Niles, MI; her daughters: Teresa & Rich Lewis-Hutson of Wentzville, MO, Paula Faye Hale of St. Charles, MO; Her most precious grandchildren: Jeremy 'Jay' Lewis of Hermann, MO, Brandon Lewis of Springfield, MO, Robert Michael 'Beau' Lewis of Nashville, TN, Jake and Sydney Alexis Hale of St. Charles, MO; her loving great-grandson, Antonio Rodriguez, and his mother Rhonda Hutson of Wentzville, MO; brother: Dennis & Molly Boggs of Nashville, TN; sisters: Carol & Steve Pachik of Athens, AL, and Pam & Al Adams of Niceville, FL. She was preceded in death by her father: Joe Formwalt Boggs; brother: Joe Donald Boggs and her sister-in-law: Bonnie Faye Boggs Dunn. She is survived by numerous and much loved aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Per Faye's request, instead of flower memorials, a donation to SSM Hospice, American Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels or a charity of choice will be sincerely appreciated. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. in the chapel.

Funeral services for Mr. Barry Rogers, age 47, of Shelbyville, TN, who passed away Sunday, December 31, 2006, at his residence, will be conducted Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Petersburg First Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Mills & Bro. Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Rogers was a native of Petersburg, TN, son of Emily Rogers of Petersburg, TN and the late Randel Rogers. He was an equipment operator and a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Debbie Rogers of Shelbyville, TN; 3 daughters: Siobhan Goodman of Fayetteville, TN, Laura Rogers of Shelbyville, TN, Shayna Rogers of Flintville, TN; 1 step-daughter: Contessa Holley of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren: Tyree, Lily, Alicia, Damion, Shelbie, Daylan, Cody, Emma & Madison; mother: Emily Rogers of Petersburg, TN; sisters: Rita Cowan, Lisa Wing both of Petersburg, TN and brothers: Jimmy Rogers of Wartrace, TN and Brent Rogers of Petersburg, TN. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Petersburg First Baptist Church.
