Mr. Maso Pullen

               Funeral services for Mr. Maso Pullen, age 70, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel J. Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Mr. Pullen was a native of Giles Co., TN, son of the late Matthew & Ruby Inman Pullen, a groundskeeper for the City of Fayetteville Recreation Dept. and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN. Along with his parents, Mr. Pullen is preceded in death by 2 sisters:  Opalee Howard & Adna Reese and 1 brother:  Press Jr. Pullen. Survivors include his wife:  Maudie B. Pullen of Fayetteville, TN; 7 daughters:  Peggy March, Willa Clark, Effie & Israel Coffee, Pamela & Bobby Emmons all of Fayetteville, TN, Patricia & Stanely Jefferson, Darlene & Earl Smith, Diane Pullen all of Huntsville, AL; 4 sons:  Russell & Angela Pullen, Micheal Lee Pullen, Mason & Crystal Pullen, Barry Pullen all of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sisters:  Mathia Mae & Andrew Black of Nashville, TN, Everbell Pullen, Fannie & Alivin Buchanan all of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother:  Albert Pullen of Fayetteville, TN; 32 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild; best friend: Ray Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from noon until 1 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. Robert 'Chuck' Hillis

               Funeral services for Mr. Robert 'Chuck' Hillis, age 78, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Friday, April 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hillis was a native of New Market, AL, son  of the late Lonnie B. & Ollie Fults Hillis, a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Hillis was preceded in death by 1 grandchild:  Lonnie Dale Hillis, Jr. and 4 brothers:  Elmer Hillis, Hoyt Hillis, Grady Hillis, C.S. Hillis. Survivors include his wife:  Dovie Jane Peden Hillis of Flintville, TN; 3 daughters:  Nancy Kay Gault of Plevna, AL, Tena Aline Johnson of Garth, AL, Tammy Fay Padgett of Meridianville, AL; 4 sons:  Robert Stanley Hillis, James Arlon Hillis both of Flintville, TN, Lonnie Dale Hillis of Mulberry, TN, Stephen Doyle Hillis of Elora, TN; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. David Devers

               Funeral services for Mr. David Devers, age 44, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Winfred Stayton officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mr. Devers was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, a tow motor operator and a member of the Church of God. Survivors include his daughter:  Jessica Ann Devers of Lynnville, TN; mother:  Birdie Mae & Jimmy Ray Crews of Flintville, TN; father:  James Donald & Pat Devers of Ashland City, TN; sister:  Barbara Ann &  Jack Young of Plainfield, IL; brothers:  Donald Ray & JoEllen Devers of Plainfield, IL, Jeremy Devers of Hendersonville, TN; 1 niece:  Kaitlyn Devers of Plainfield, IL. Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. Herman F. Ahrens

               Funeral services for Mr. Herman F. Ahrens, age 79, of Lakeland, FL, who passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006 at the Highland Lakes Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. graveside in Macedonia Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ahrens was a native of Lincoln Park, MI, son of the late Fred & Mary Shockley Ahrens, retired from furniture sales in Detroit, MI metropolitan area. Along with his parents, Mr. Ahrens is preceded in death by 1 daughter:  Katie Ahrens & 1 sister:   Mary Jo Evans. Survivors include is loving, devoted wife of 37 1/2 years:  Dorothy Ahrens of Lakeland, FL; 1 son:  Erik Ahrens of Reno, NV; 2 step-sons:  William Eade of Lakeland, FL, Raymond Eade of Unionville, VA; 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cornerstone Hospice, 12300 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.

 

 

Mr. Lloyd Sorenson

               Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd Sorenson, age 77, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, April 10, 2006 at his residence, will be conducted Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bishop Johnson officiating. Mr. Sorenson was a native of Antelope Sherida, Montana, son of the late Pedar & Ingeborg Solberg Sorenson, a product sales manager and a member of the Church of Jesus Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife:  Marian Sorenson of Fayetteville, TN; 5 daughters:  Carolyn Somma of Worchester, MA, Christine Modzelewski of Cordova, TN, Catherine Manning of Newburyport, MA, Corrine Brooks of Maine, Carla Lopes of Rhode Island; 3 step-sons:  Jonathan Perkins, Glenn Calawa both of Fayetteville, TN, Dale Calawa of Manchester, NH; 1 step-daughter:  Deborah Reynolds of New Hampshire; 1 brother:  Palmer Sorenson of Westby, Montana; 2 sisters:  Borgny Haroldson of Plentywood, Montana, Ingrid Ebstein of Stockton, CA; several grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. Mrs. Janice Dollar

               Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Dollar, age 39, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Friday, April 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Mrs. Dollar was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, a homemaker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter:  Shania Bradford. Survivors include her husband:  Michael Dale Dollar; daughters:  Alicia May, Leslie Moorehead, Heather Dollar, Samanda Dollar; parents:  Jackie & Brenda Pigg Patterson; sisters:  Jacklin Holder, Melody Fowler, Shanna Patterson; father-in-law:  Sam Dollar all of Fayetteville, TN and 5 grandchildren. Mr. Gene Bryant

               Funeral services for Mr. Gene Bryant, age 73, of Taft, TN, who passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mr. Bryant was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Albert E. & Annie Bee Whitman, a ceramic tile installer and a member of the Coldwater Methodist Church. Survivors include 2 daughters:  Gayle Bryant Knuckles of Huntsville, AL, Wanda Bryant Beddingfield of Taft, TN; 2 sons:  Lonnie G. Bryant of Ardmore, TN, Matt Bryant of Taft, TN; 1 sister:  Edna Clements Manning of New Market, AL; 1 brother:  James Edwin Bryant of Ardmore, TN; 6 grandchildren  and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Rachel E. Turner

               Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel E. Turner, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN. Mrs. Turner was a native of Madison Co., AL, daughter of the late Walter & Lena Hopkins Graves, a housewife and a member of the Harmony Hill Church of God. Along with her parents, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband:  Robert E. Turner; 3 brothers:  E.D., Harvey & Wilburn Graves & 1 sister:  Lena May Rodgers. Survivors include 5 sisters:  Kitty & Earl Adams of Shelbyville, TN, Jessie Dale & Buford Price of Fayetteville, TN, Clair Ruth & David Presley of Shelbyville, TN, JoAnn & Virgil Towry of Fayetteville, TN, Esther & Johnnie Turner of Rockvale, TN and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daisy Quarles

               Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Quarles, age 59, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Saturday, April 15, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Quarles was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late James Alfred Smith & the late Eula Rosetta Randolph, and a member of the Brogan Avenue Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Quarles was preceded in death by her husband:  Billy Joe Quarles; 1 sister:  Janet Smith & 1 great nephew:  Scotty Mearse. Survivors include 1 son:  Billy Duane Quarles of Kelso, TN; grandsons:  Brandon Quarles, Nick Feltman both of Fayetteville, TN; step-mother:  Alma Jaco of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sisters:  Margaret & Bill Hentz of Fayetteville, TN, Peggy & Billy Patterson of Taft, TN, Trudy & Tony Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN, Dail & Greg Tallman of Flintville, TN; 3 brothers:  James S. & Kathy Smith of Kelso, TN, Joe F. & Linda Smith, William Smith all of Fayetteville, TN; 1 Aunt:  Ann Stone of Shelbyville, TN; 1 uncle:  Fred Randolph of McMinnville, TN; 1 great-aunt:  Rozezetty Mitchell of Ardmore, AL and special nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Faye Collins

               Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Collins, age 66, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, April 29, 2006 at the Harton Regional Hospital, will be conducted Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Collins was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Oscar Hugh & Gertrude Clark Arnold, a convenience store manager and a member of the Christian Fellowship Church. Survivors include her son:  Terry Collins; daughter:  Lisa Sprengel & sister:  Betty Arnold Moore all of Fayetteville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
