Mr. William R. Vaughn, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. William R. Vaughn, Jr., age 81, of Taft, TN, who passed away Friday, November 4, 2005 at his residence, will be conducted Monday, November 7, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Shields officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Mr. Vaughn was a native of Coldwater, TN, son of the late William Robert Vaughn, Sr. and the late Mattie Florence Carter Vaughn, a farmer and worked for Amana, a WWII Army veteran, loved to fish and work in his garden. Survivors include his wife: Nadean Posey Vaughn of Taft, TN; 1 daughter: Debbie Vaughn of Taft, TN; 1 granddaughter: Billie Joe & Michael Dhaese of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: James Homer Vaughn of Shelbyville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 2 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. Tom Bert Whitsett
Funeral services for Mr. Tom Bert Whitsett, age 79, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Lincoln Skill Care, will be conducted Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Whitsett was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Rollie & Susan White Whitsett, a supervisor at Genesco, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and an Army veteran. Along with his parents, Mr. Whitsett preceded in death by 1 infant son: Billy Whitsett. Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Mary Jane Widner Whitsett of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Brenda Eubanks & husband: Alan of Huntsville, AL, Gloria Faye Mitchell & husband: Harold of Ardmore, AL; Debi Samanie & husband: Michael of Houma, LA; 2 sons: Terry Whitsett & wife: Patsy of Huntsville, AL, Marty Whitsett & wife: Mary of Huntsville, AL; 1 brother: Robert L. 'Bob' Whitsett & wife: Betty of Fayetteville, TN; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. James R. Decker
Funeral services for Mr. James R. Decker, age 66, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. graveside in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Decker was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Monroe & Rossie Mae Warren Decker, and worked for the County Roads Dept. Survivors include 1 sister: Juanita Cunningham of Fayetteville, TN; and 3 brothers: Bill Decker of Flintville, TN, Tom Decker, Harold Wayne Decker both of Park City, TN. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Freda B. Johnson
Memorial Service for Mrs. Freda B. Johnson, age 67, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Huntland Community Center. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Roy Chester 'Jack' Church and the late Estelle Marie Heath Church. She was a housewife. Along with her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband: Glendon Woosley. Survivors include 2 daughters: Nancy Miller of Huntsville, AL, Patsy Adams of Lynchburg, TN; 2 sisters: Mary Moore of Lynchburg, TN, Linda Arnold of Coffee Co., TN; 2 brothers: Roy Chester Church, Jr. & Johnny Church both of Lincoln County, TN; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. James Cecil Mitchell
Funeral services for Mr. James Cecil Mitchell, age 82, of Huntsville, AL, formerly Petersburg, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Lincoln Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Bolan officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Mitchell was a native of Lincoln Co., son of the late Lawrence O. Mitchell, and a member of the Bledsoe Church of Christ. Survivors include his son: Perry & Kay Mitchell of Huntsville, AL; 2 grandchildren: Sandy & Jeff Hedden & Cory Mitchell; 1 sister: Ruth Wells of Petersburg, TN and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucille Patterson
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Patterson, age 83, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 20, 2005 at her residence, will be conducted Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial will follow in Blanche Cemetery. Mrs. Patterson was a native of Limestone County, AL, daughter of the late Andrew Johns and the late M. Betty Carter Johns Anderson, a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her step-father: Jim Anderson; 2 sisters: Christine Long, Bessie Cline; 4 brothers: Joe Johns, Grady Johns, Gilbert Johns, Lacy Johns. Survivors include her husband: P.J. Patterson of Fayetteville, TN; 2 daughters: Ruby Cowan of Taft, TN, Leona Cowan of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons: Shirley Patterson of Taft, TN, Sherman Patterson of Paris, TN; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. Jimmy Wayne Smith
Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Wayne Smith, age 56, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 20, 2005 in St. Thomas Hospital, will be conducted Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Wood & Pastor Phillip Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Stewart Cemetery. Mr. Smith was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late William Douglas Smith & the late Willie Mae Caldwell Smith, a truck driver for Jack Daniels Distillery and a member of the Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by 3 brothers: Ernest Ray Smith, Eddie Edgar Smith, & Johnny Dean Smith. Survivors include his former wife: Brenda Kay Smith; 2 daughters: Karen Kay Smith Fagan of Flintville, TN, Jennifer Lanell Martinez of Fayetteville, TN; son: Steven Wayne Smith of Fayetteville, TN; and 6 grandchildren: Tara Kay Fagan, Megan LaShell Fagan, Caleb Adrian Martinez, Samantha Fanning, Sara Beth Fanning, Katlin Fanning. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Opha R. Cuzzort, age 86, of Elora, TN, who passed away Monday, November 21, 2005 at her residence, will be conducted graveside Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Flintville Cemetery with John E. Sanders officiating. Mrs. Cuzzort was a native of Marshall Co., AL, daughter of the late Minton C. Todd & the late Lou Alice Hadley Todd, worked on the assembly line for Amana and was a member of the Fayetteville First Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Cuzzort was preceded in death by her husband: Bonnie Cuzzort; sisters: Clara Carlisle & Gertrude Pruitt and brothers: Paul Todd, Irby Todd, & Vernon Todd. Survivors include her nephew: Mike & Tammie Layman of Elora, TN and 1 brother: Aaron Todd of New Market, AL.

Mrs. Bredemeier was a native of Jackson Co., AL, daughter of the late George Harvey & Lucy Susan Robertson Bailey, a housewife and a member of the Church of God. Along with her parents, Mrs. Bredemeier was preceded in death by her husband: Tom Bredemeier; sisters: Evelyn Gifford, Imogene Wilson; brother: Ralph Bailey. Survivors include 2 daughters: Windy L. Proud-Coulter, Jo Ann Corns both of Momence, IL; 1 son: Keith Jones of Momence, IL; 1 sister: Jimmie Dean Wilbanks of Elora, TN; 4 brothers: Thomas Bailey of Elora, TN, Ottis Wayne Bailey of Winchester, TN, Terry Bailey of Kelso, TN, Rick Bailey of Fayetteville, TN; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Carla Brannon

Winfred Stayton officiating. Mrs. Brannon was a native of South Williamson, KY, daughter of Carl Wainscott, Jr. & Delores Brown Wainscott of Kelso, TN. She was a housewife, a member of the Baptist Church, a dancer, country & gospel musician, former employee of Wal-Mart and Curves for Women of Meridianville, AL and was an author of children's books. She is preceded in death by her sister: Patricia Lou Birchfield. Survivors include her husband: Dennis Ray Brannon of Hazel Green, AL; daughter: Angel Lee Brannon of Hazel Green, AL; parents: Carl & Delores Wainscott, Jr. of Kelso, TN; 2 sisters: Tamera Webb of Cresthill, IL, Lori Wainscott of Kelso, TN and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnny Bragg
Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Bragg, age 70, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be conducted Friday, December 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Petersburg, TN with Don Hudson and Bro. Larry Hastings officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Bragg was a native of Cook Co., IL, son of the late Tom & Mary Williams Bragg, retired police chief of Petersburg, TN, a member of the Bledsoe Church of Christ and a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #12. Survivors include his wife: Iris Bragg of Petersburg, TN; daughters: Vicki Shepard of Harvest, AL, Linda PessoLano, Pam Clem, Doris Hill all of Fayetteville, TN; sons: Michael Bragg of Georgia, Johnny Bragg of Huntland, TN; cousin & devoted friend: Charles Ventress; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and devoted friend: Spanky. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening at the Fellowship Baptist Church.
