Mrs. Stella Osborne

               Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Osborne, age 101, of Ables Ln., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 in Donalson Care Center, were conducted Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Paul Clayton officiating. Burial followed in Prospect Cemetery. Mrs. Osborne was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Bate Dulin & the late Nannie Moorehead Dulin, a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Mrs. Osborne was preceded in death by her husband:  Lonnie W. Osborne, 2 daughters:  Nina Young & Virginia Reese, 1 son:  Toney Osborne & 1 great grandson:  Daniel Graham. Survivors include 3 daughters:  Willodean Kloeppel, Sarah Ward both of Jacksonville, FL, Betty Van Trump of Ashland, OR; 3 sons:  Charles Osborne of Fayetteville, TN, Herman D. Osborne of Spring City, TN, Bobby Osborne of Middlebury, VT; 2 half-sisters:  Laura McKin of Florida & Letha Brown of Petersburg, TN; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Dorothy Jett Honea

               Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jett Honea, age 56, of Henry Thompson Rd., Taft, TN, who passed away Saturday, February 19, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, were conducted Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Wilburn Carter officiating. Burial followed in Carter Hills Cemetery. Mrs. Honea was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of Alfred Jett of Chicago, IL & Sadie Lee Bolch of Fayetteville, TN, and a supervisor for Goodman. Along with her parents, she is survived by 2 sons:  James Gabriel Curtis & Josh & Gannon Curtis both of Taft, TN; 2 grandsons:  Kase Lane Curtis & Gage Ryan Curtis; 1 sister:  Debbie Devereaux of Lewisburg, TN; 3 brothers:  Mark Jett of Hazel Green, AL, Steve Bunn of Fayetteville, TN, & Ray Bunn of Taft, TN; 5 nieces and 5 nephews. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mr. Bobby Ray Ashby

               Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Ray Ashby, age 56, of the Mimosa Community, who passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at his residence, were conducted Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with James Barnes and Joe Wayne McGee officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Ashby was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Hulon Ashby & the late Flossie Mae Jones Ashby, an auto body mechanic, a member of the Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, bird hunting and wood working. Survivors include his wife:  Modina McCoy Ashby of Fayetteville, TN; 2 daughters:  Deborah Creson, Diana Lynn Frame both of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sons:  Randall Ray Ashby of Fayetteville, TN, Daniel Ray Ashby of New Market, AL; 4 grandchildren:  Travis Eugene McGee, Chassidy Deann McGee, Radina Lynn Creson & Stephanie Michelle Creson; 1 step-brother:  Rufus Ashby of Jacksonville, FL & 1 step-sister:  Geneva Riddle of Tullahoma, TN. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

Mrs. Zelma Durham

               Funeral services for Mrs. Zelma Durham, age 82, of S. Patrick Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Williams and Rev. Paul Hunter officiating. Burial followed in Stateline Cemetery. Mrs. Durham was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Robert Pitts and the late Stella Bates Pitts, a housewife, a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church, a former seamstress for Serbin, she enjoyed gardening and was a good cook. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Roy Durham, and 4 sisters:  Clyda Lee Hale, Jewell Shelton, Ruth Goodson, Vida Durham, 1 step-sister:  Lula Towry & 1 brother:  Hurley Pitts. Survivors include 2 daughters:  Trenda & Harold Seals, and Jill & Steve Presti both of Fayetteville, TN; 3 grandsons:  Heath Seals, & Dustin Seals both of Nashville, TN and Alex Presti of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family was held Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

   Mr. Walter Lee Flynt

               Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lee Flynt, age 65, of Campbell St., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, February 26, 2005 in Donalson Health Care, were conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Boldin officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Mr. Flynt was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Robert Flynt and the late Zella Johnson Flynt., a farmer, a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include 3 sisters:  Willa Mae Goolsby of Fayetteville, TN, Gertrude Sloan & Betty Ellrenzeller both of Ardmore, AL; 1 brother:  Johnny Flynt of Lewisburg, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

 

  Mrs. Daisy Copeland

               Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Copeland, age 92, of Flintville Rd., Flintville, TN, who passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Hester officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Mrs. Copeland was a native of Marshall County, AL, daughter of the late Jess R. Daniel & the late Anna Moody Daniel, a teacher for the Lincoln County Board of Education, a member of the Flintville 1st Baptist Church, woman of the year in 1952, and a member for 50 years of the Flintville Home Demonstration Club. Along with her parents, Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her husband:  Ernest Wilson Copeland in 1969. Survivors include 3 daughters:  Ernestine & Glen Hardin of Blue Island, IL, Linda Counts of Flintville, TN, Connie Tunstill of Tullahoma, TN; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
