Mrs. Mattie Sue Stewart
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Sue Stewart, age 77, of Madison Avenue, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Moore & Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Stewart was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late N.J. Clark & the late Jennie Bell Bradley, a nurse aide for Lincoln County nursing home and a member of the Cotton Mill Village Church of God. Along with her parents, Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband: Murphy Stewart in 1987, 1 daughter: Brenda Poarch, 2 sisters: Gertrude Arnold & Helen Branch; 2 brothers: Homer Clark, Alford Clark. Survivors include 2 sons: Ray Earl Eddy of Flintville, TN, Phillip Eddy of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters: Patsy Colvard of Dalton, GA, Wanda Thompson of Mulberry, TN, Lana Brown of Lewisburg, TN; 3 sisters: Erma Jean Fite of Fayetteville, TN, Glenda Moore of Owens Crossroads, AL; 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren & 13 great-great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. Benny Towry
Funeral services for Mr. Benny Towry, age 57, of Poplar Place, Mapleton, GA, who passed away Friday, October 8, 2004 at his residence, were conducted Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Quinn Evans & Rev. Willie Banks officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Towry was a native of Winchester, TN, son of the late Gordon Brent Towry & the late Delia Thrasher Towry, a diesel mechanic, a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Towry is survived by his wife: Carol Towry of Mapleton, GA; 2 sons: Jesse Brent Towry & Kenneth Bruce Towry both of Mapleton, GA; 1 grandson: Cameron Towry; 1 sister: Linda Banks of Flintville, TN; 1 half-sister: Lana Towry of Fayetteville, TN; 1 brother: Steve Towry of Joliet, IL. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Miss Wilma Ruth Benson
Funeral services for Miss Wilma Ruth Benson, age 69, of Epps Hollow Road, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Monday, October 11, 2004 in Lincoln Care Center, were conducted Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Burial followed in Flintville Cemetery. Miss Benson was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Roy Estill Benson & the late Eula Mae Pruett Benson and a member of the Flintville Baptist Church. Survivors include 1 sister: Jeanette & Charles Mullins of Fayetteville, TN; 3 nieces: Jan Lineberger of Nashville, TN, Joan Mashburn of Fayetteville, TN, Judy Pearson of Springfield, VA; 1 great niece: Sara Ellen Mashburn & 1 great nephew: Daniel Pearson. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peggy C. Pack
Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy C. Pack, age 65, of Camargo Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at her residence, were conducted Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Pack was a native of Drift, KY, daughter of the late Edgil Daniels & the late Mae Henry Daniels, a homemaker, a member of the Baptist Church, a former cook for Parsley Deli & worked assembly at Cosmo Lab. Along with her parents, Mrs. Pack was preceded in death by her husband: Bill Pack in 1992, and 1 granddaughter: Tina Louise Pack. Survivors include 1 daughter: Charmene Ridge of Old Town, FL; 2 sons: William Edgil pack of Flintville, TN, Tony D. Pack of Lemont, IL; 2 sisters: Barbara Wilson, Dorothy Waddles both of Willard, OH; 1 brother: Tony Daniels of Toledo, OH; 6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family was held Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
Mr. Dicky Ray Bobo
Funeral services for Mr. Dicky Ray Bobo, age 78, of Joe Quick Road, Hazel Green, AL, who passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at his residence, were conducted Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bill Cantrell & Randy Pyle officiating. Burial followed in Stateline Cemetery. Mr. Bobo was a native of Morgan County, AL, son of the late Benjamin Harrison Bobo & the late Mable Wadding Bobo, a farmer, a member of the Church of Christ and a WWII veteran. Survivors include his wife: Pauline Ray Bobo of Hazel Green, AL; 1 daughter: Sharal &Vince Huegele of Huntsville, AL; 1 son: Wayne & Sandy Bobo of hazel Green, AL; 2 granddaughters: Robin & Allen Wright of New Market, AL, Amanda & Brad Quick of Kelso, TN; 1 grandson: Benjamin Huegele of Huntsville, AL; 2 great grandchildren: Lane & Mackenzie Wright of New Market, AL; 1 sister: Violet Hand of Sheffield, AL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Wilson T. Cobb, age 70, of Monroe Nunley Rd., Toney, AL, who passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004 in the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN, were conducted Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial followed in Concord Cemetery. Mr. Cobb was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Luke Cobb & the late Evelyn Edwards Cobb, a member of the Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
