Mrs. Marcella Roland Knight

               Funeral services for Mrs. Marcella Roland Knight, age 61, of Simmons Circle, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at her residence, were conducted Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bates & Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Knight was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Robert L. Roland & the late Annie Ray Bradford Roland, a semastress for Blue Ridge, Lee Company & Lincoln Manufacturing, a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Along with her parents, Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by 6 brothers:  Jack Roland, James Roland, Mason Roland, Don Roland, David Roland & Tommy Roland. Survivors include her husband:  Bill Knight of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son:  Ray Henderson, Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; 2 step-children:  Rodney & Denise; 2 grandchildren:  Eric Bailey & Peyton Henderson; 2 sisters:  Margaret Patterson of Taft, TN, Lula Quick of the Lincoln Community; 1 brother:  Billy Ray Roland of Fayetteville, TN; 6 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Lucile M. Slayton

               Funeral services for Mrs. Lucile M. Slayton, age 89, of County Club Drive, Huntsville, AL, who passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004 in Donalson Care Center, were conducted Thursday, November 11, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Dr. Don Russell and Rev. Benny Berry officiating. Burial followed in Bevills Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Slayton was a native of Madison County, AL, daughter of the late Henry J. Manley & the late Clara Bell Stewart Manley, a housewife and a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Slayton was preceded in death by her husband:  Clyde Woodrow Slayton in 1970. Survivors include 2 sons:  Billy Slayton of Elora, TN, Randall Slayton of Fayetteville, TN; 1 sister:  Letha Campbell Hughes of Fayetteville, TN; 2 brothers:  Woodrow Manley of Hazel Green, AL, Jerry Toon of Fayetteville, TN; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.. Visitation with the family was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Wilburn B. Graves

               Funeral services for Mr. Wilburn B. Graves, age 76, of Liberty Ln., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2004 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Friday, November 12, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial followed in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Graves was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Walter Lewis Graves & the late Martha Hopkins Graves, and a farmer. Along with his parents, Mr. Graves was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Lena Mae Rodgers; 2 brothers:  Harvey Graves & E.D. Graves. Survivors include 6 sisters:  Rachel Turner of Fayetteville, TN, Kitty Adams, Clara Ruth Pressley both of Shelbyville, TN, Jessie Dell Price, Jo Ann Towry both of Fayetteville, TN, Frances Ester Turner of Rockvale, TN and several nieces & nephews. Visitation with the family was held Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Bill Sneed

               Funeral services for Mr. Bill Sneed, age 67, of South Lincoln Rd., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Saturday, November 20, 2004 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. James Allen Arrington officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Plevna, AL. Mr. Sneed was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Searcy Warner Sneed & the late Nola Vaughn Sneed, a salesman for NAPA Auto Parts, a member of the Lincoln Methodist Church, an Army veteran, a Nascar enthusiast and a Ford lover. Along with his parents, Mr. Sneed was preceded in death by 1 brother:  Cecil Sneed & his step-mother:  Evie Mildred Sneed. Survivors include his wife:  Marion Sneed of Fayetteville, TN; 3 daughters:  Terry & Jerry McGehee of Flintville, TN, Tracie & Howard Pitts of Taft, TN, Tammy & Heath Mullins of Camargo, TN; 1 son:  Bill & DeeDee Sneed of  Fayetteville, TN; 8 grandchildren:  Braden & Mason Mullins, Amber McGehee, Casey McGehee, Heather Pitts, Halie Pitts, Mary Beth Sneed & Morgan Sneed; 1 half-brother:  Bobby Sneed of New Market, AL. Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Anneva Holland

               Funeral services for Mrs. Anneva Holland, age 62, of Philpot Road, Ardmore, TN, who passed away Sunday, November 21, 2004  in Huntsville Hospital, were conducted Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Clutts & Rev. Jason Moore officiating. Burial followed in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Holland was a native of Lincoln  County, TN, daughter of the late Henry Herman Counts & the late Margie Wells Counts, a housewife, a member of the New Grove Baptist Church, a Sunday School teacher and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, quilting and making wicker baskets. Along with her parents, Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by 1 son:  Timothy Scott Holland in 1989 & 1 sister:  Virginia Ward. Survivors include her husband:  Jimmy Holland of Ardmore, TN; 1 daughter:  Melissa & Terry Mitchell of White House, TN; 2 granddaughters:  Rachel Mitchell & Alesha Mitchell; 2 sisters:  Laura Goosby of Fayetteville, TN, Marie Walker of Pelham, AL; 3 brothers:   Barkley Counts, Lawson Counts both of Fayetteville, TN, Lonnie Counts of Flintville, TN. Visitation with the family was held Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
