Mr. James Carl Schrimsher

               Funeral services for Mr. James Carl Schrimsher, age 47, of Melrose Park, IL, who passed away Monday, April 5, 2004 at his residence, were conducted Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Eads and Rev. Joe Durham officiating. Burial followed in Concord Cemetery. Mr. Schrimsher was a native of Madison County, AL, son of the late Richard Schrimsher and the late Mary Jane Cobb Schrimsher, a truck driver and a member of the Moose Lodge #777 of Bellwood. Survivors include 1 daughter:  Nicole Lynn Schrimsher; 4 sons:  Richard Schrimsher, James C. Schrimsher, Jr., Jeremy M. Schrimsher, Jessie L. Schrimsher all of Des Plaines, IL; 3 sisters:  Peggy Hooper of New Market, AL, Betty Ostrander of Denton, NC, Shirley Kassebaum of Sophia, NC; 3 brothers:  Bobby Schrimsher of Taft, TN, Jerry Schrimsher of Huntsville, AL, Mike Schrimsher of Sophia, NC. Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mr. James M. Hagood

               Funeral services for Mr. James M. Hagood, age 62, of Pennington Place, Jackson, TN, who passed away Monday, April 5, 2005 were conducted Thursday, April 8, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at the Spring Hill Chapel with Norman 'Buck' Dozier, Richard Gay and Pastor David Landrith officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Entombment followed in Spring Hill Mausoleum. Mr. Hagood was a native of Davidson County, TN, son of the late John W. Hagood and the late Maggie Lois McCall Hagood, he was the supervisor of inventory control for Textron/Aerostructures Corp., president of Machinist Local 735 at Aerostructures, deacon, Jr. High Director and House Parents for Happy Acres Children's Home at Madison Church of Christ, foster parent for over 20 years, volunteer to numerous organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way and Volunteer for Life Lines at Two Rivers Baptist Church, volunteered to local elderly citizens for home repairs and maintenance. He was a former baseball coach at UNA Rec Center coaching many players which went on to become both college and professional athletes. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara T. Hagood of Jackson, TN; daughter:  Mitzi H. & Mike Seals of Jackson, TN; son:  Charles V. & Terry Thompson Hagood of Goodlettsville, TN; 4 grandchildren:  Megan & Marshall Seals of Jackson, TN, Allyson & Brennan Hagood of Goodlettsville, TN; 1 sister:  Lois Jones of Joelton, TN; 1 brother:  Charles Glenn Haygood of Florida and 37 foster children throughout the United States. Visitation was held from 3 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Spring Hill Chapel.

 

Mrs. Bonnie Ruth Arnold

               Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Ruth Arnold, age 43, of Howell Hill Rd., Flintville, TN, who passed away Saturday, April 10, 2004 in Vanderbilt University Medical Center, were conducted Tuesday, April 13, 1004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Bates and Rev. Billy Langford officiating and Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Arnold was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Milton Moorehead and Minnie Ruth Bradford, who survives, a housewife and a member of the Heritage Baptist Church. Along with her mother, Mrs. Arnold is survived by her husband:  Wade Arnold; 1 daughter:  Brandi Kay Arnold; 1 son:  Eric Wade Arnold all of Flintville, TN; 2 sisters:  Betty Moorehead, Donna Gill; 2 brothers:  Jerry Moorehead, & Jimmy Moorehead all of Fayetteville, TN. Visitation was held Monday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Lonnie A. Burrows

               Funeral services for Mr. Lonnie A. Burrows, age 85, of 2nd Avenue, Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2005 in Huntsville Hospital, were conducted Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Johnson and Pastor Tommy Graham officiating. Burial followed in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Burrows was a native of Lincoln County, TN, son of the late Larry A. Burrows and the late Mollie Ann Towry Burrows, a retired die setter for Amana, a WWII veteran and a member of the West End Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Burrows was preceded in death by his wife:  Retha A. Davis Burrows. Survivors include 3 nieces:  Betty Mann, Imogene Shields both of Flintville, TN, Christine Owens of Fayetteville, TN; 3 nephews:  Marvin Burrows of Fayetteville, TN, Chester Thrasher of Elora, TN; Tommy Thrasher of Kelso, TN; 1 brother-in-law:  Flemon Davis of Fayetteville, TN; special friend:  Katie Ruth Arney of Fayetteville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Leslie W. Davis

               Funeral services for Mr. Leslie W. Davis, age 81, of Elora Road, Elora, TN, who passed away Monday, April 19, 2004 at his residence, were held Thursday, April 22, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Hammons officiating. Burial followed in Miller Cemetery. Mr. Davis was a native of Birmingham, AL, son of the late Oliver Cruse Davis and the late Eliza Byrella Brewer Davis, a WWII Coast Guard veteran, a member of the Baptist Church, a captain with the Elora Volunteer Fire Dept. and a member of the American Legion Flintville Post #111. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers:  Nolton 'Jimmy' Davis & Morris Davis. Survivors include his wife:  Frances Davis of Elora, TN; 1 daughter:  Judy Amason of Lebanon, TN; 2 grandchildren:  Leslie Pruitte, Lorrie Patterson; 2 great grandchildren:  Laura Beth Pruitte, Jacob Pruitte all of Lebanon, TN; 3 nephews:  Jimmy Davis of Arab, AL, Jackie Davis of Lacey Springs, AL, Timmy Davis of Somerville, AL. Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Willie Dee Harrison

 

               Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Dee Harrison, age 92, of Hodge Dr., Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Lincoln Medical Center, were conducted Friday, April 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Gay officiating. Burial followed in Kirkland Cemetery. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Lincoln County, TN, daughter of the late Clarence Honey and the late Lillie Locker Honey, a housewife and a member of the Prospect Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband:  James Eldridge Harrison in 1974. Survivors include 2 sons:  J.E. Harrison, Jr. of Fayetteville, TN, Robert Thomas Harrison of White House, TN; 2 daughters:  Ruth Taylor of Nashville, TN, Doris Oeser of White House, TN; 1 brother:  Virgil Honey of Fayetteville, TN; 2 sisters:  Mildred Smartt, & Allie Davis both of Fayetteville, TN; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation was held Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
